Elegant Suites Executive Residents are located in Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. Walking distance to city centre Hoan Kiem Lake and the The Old Quarter.
Modern air conditioned 5th floor apartment TV, DVD, CD, High Speed Internet, modern kitchen with dishwasher. Large dining and lounge area. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Washer and dryer. The apartment is serviced 3 times per week. To step out onto our street you are immediatly immersed in the sights and sounds of Vietnam, early in the morning the street vendors can be found selling flowers, fruit and vegetables, we have a french bakery just two doors away and several restaurants all within walking distance.

Quartier

Hoan Kiem District is known as the city centre, our apartment is located in Ha Hoi St, just four blocks from the Hoan Kiem Lake which is surrounded by the Old Quarter, Hanoi, the 1,000-year-old capital, a low-rise city of lakes and peaceful parks. A Hanoi holiday is a pleasant, unhurried experience of exploring the historic Old Quarter with its arts and crafts bargains, and strolling the streets of the French Colonial sector. The french influence is everywhere, the architecture, food, many of the older generation still speak french.

An early morning visit to the serene Hoan Kiem Lake, tracksuit-clad elders perform the slow movements of tai chi, Streets fill with activity, mopeds and bicycles weave among pedestrians and equally an evening visit is just as exciting to see families come to enjoy the evening time and activities. Hanoi is fast becoming one of the most enticing and interesting cities in Asia. As a cultural centre there are traditional water puppet shows, and music and dance performances. It is also a good base for excursions to the beautiful Halong Bay, or into the Hoang Lien Mountains inhabited by several hill tribes. Using the apartment as a base day trips are easily organized at the many tourist shops. The photos above are of the ethnic people in Sapa and of our trip to Halong Bay there are many wonderful destinations from Hanoi. Happy to give you our recommendations as to where we have been.

Alec & Jan Taylor Australian citizens working at the Australian Embassy in Hanoi for a period of 2 years. Alec is the facilities manager and looks after all the infrastructure in Hanoi, Saigon and Vientiane in Laos We would like to take advantage whilst located in South east Asia to vist Europe before we return to Australia 2012 to retire.
We have noted many nationalities visit Vietnam but there are many French tourists here in Hanoi as the French have an amazing history in Vietnam and we would like to offer you the opportunity to come and visit this amazing country.
We enjoy the finer but quiter things in life but still enjoy a sence of adventure visiting new places and experiencing other cultures previosly working in Indonesia, India and now Vietnam.
Our leisure activities: good food, all kind of excursions and journeys!
We are very environment-friendly and respectful of people and things. We are looking forward to the opportunity to link up with like minded people.

We have covered several countries but like to enjoy scenery, cultural, art, ethnic, good food and wine, music, walking, beaches anything that makes an enjoyable holiday. Some where warm and blue skys and beaches or in the country.
