Maison

Our Villa is called Selva del Mar "Jungle by the Sea". We are located in Ixtapa, Guerrero Mexico on the Mexican Gold Coast. Selva Del Mar features lush gardens, beautiful Pacific Ocean views, and a very nice swimming pool. Upstairs we have a master suite with a sitting room for reading and viewing the ocean. Downstairs is the kitchen, dining area, 2 day beds and terrace. We have 2 full bathrooms. Caretakers live on premises to serve the 10 villas that make up Selva del Mar. The architecture by the renowned Enrique Soy Zoya features a rustic Mexican style and is truly unique. The vibe at Selva del Mar is peaceful and relaxed "tranquilla". Our villa is located closest to the pool for convenient refreshments. After staying at Selva Del Mar you may feel younger upon leaving!

Quartier

Our neighborhood is known as El Contrimar and was built by the Mexican government to promote tourism about 30 years ago. The roads are cobblestone and sidewalks make walking to town very convenient. Across the street a very fine restaurant, Villa de la Selva, is perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The world class hotel Las Brisas is a short walk down the street. A 5 minute walk takes you to Ixtapa, a lovely resort style town with a small number of luxury hotels on the main beach (El Palmer). Zihuatanejo (5km) is a fishing village that has grown over the years and truly gives a sweet taste of the Mexican culture. The people are very warm and friendly. Our villa is safe and secure. There are 20 different beach areas within 30 minutes of Ixtapa.

We are a couple that just turned 50. My wife is an Interior Designer and I am a businessman. We have grown children and our pets don't travel with us. We speak English and try with our Spanish. We are non-smokers. Our caretakers, Felipe and Teresa are a very nice couple and make sure our guests feel welcome.

Destination

Selva Del Mar is our second home. The exchange can be non-simultaneous. We are flexible with our travel plans. We prefer to stay in Paris, France and the Tuscanny region of Italy.
