Do you want to experience how urban families will leave in 25 years from now? get to know the people and the country in a new way...
We live together with 50 families in a modern community in Copenhagen. We have individual houses of 130sqm, designed by the Danish architect Dorte Mandrup 2 years ago. All houses are build around a big closed central yard were children can play and all social activities happen. There is a big common house (with big common kitchen, cafe, movie theater, atelier...) where we eat together every evening (you can join if you like). But every house also has it's own kitchen so you can decide yourself if you want to be social or rather stay in private - it is fully up to you! The house has a tarasse in the yards, there is a fire place and in summer the neighbors grill together and the children can quickly find some friends.

Our neighbors living with us are typically academic families (average age of 35) with two smaller children - but there are others as well. You will find it to be an extremely pleasant location especially with children.

In any case you will have a hard time finding a better place to experience Skandinavien culture and living from within.

Our house has 5 rooms, 2 bedrooms and a big living room/kitchen (over too floors with big glas facade) and a modern architecture. The house is of course fully equipped with big TV, DVT, Mii, Micro, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Dryer, Cafe Machine... We have a car to share as well.

Quartier

Our community is located 15km from the center of Copenhagen but still within the city. It is about 10 minutes by car to the next beach, 5 minutes by bike to the station and from there 12 minutes by train to the main train station of Copenhagen. So it is very easy to go down town.
Although still in the city, there are lot's of parks and green areas near by.
For those who have not been here, Copenhagen as such is a beautiful city especially in the summer with lot's of activities for everybody.

À propos de nous

We are a Danish/German couple with two small children (2-4 years). I have my own online advertising agency and my wife works for a hearing aid company in online marketing.
We have lived in 6 countries over the past 12 years and enjoy to experience new cultures, people and locations. Although this will be our first home exchange we often lend our house to other people in the community and we have lived in shared flates for many years so we know the does and don't of sharing a house. And we are passioned about new ways of living (as you might imagine ;-)
We speak German, Danish and French at home and English at work.

We are looking for something nice, warm and sunny in preference in the south of Europe. Could be nature, could be a beach, could be mountains or a city - we are basically open for everything! Just contact us right away. We would like to exchange houses for 2-3 weeks end of July/beginning of August so we are a bit late - we hope we still find somebody for this summer!


Destination

We would very much like to go to Spain (Mallorca, Ibiza, etc.) or south of France. Or simply somewhere sunny;-)

We alos have a big family bike (Christiania bike) and 2 big and 2 small bikes for children. In addition we offer our car(s) hopefully in exchange with your car.
