We live close to the Bois de Vincennes and the coulée vert, also known as the promenade planté -- a pleasant walking path along the old railway line that runs from the Bois de Vincennes to livelier Bastille.

I'm English and have been living in Paris for the past 12 years. I live with my 3 year old son who is half American; calm and uncomplicated like me. I'm a jewellery designer (textiles).

I love living in this beautiful city. All the major museums, theatres, shops and sights are so accessible. I love the different vibe from all 20 neighbourhoods and of course, the great food!, the art exhibitions, the outdoor cinema in summer, picnics in the parks, hanging out on the banks of the seine.

I'd be happy to give you recommendations and/or reviews for your stay.

We are flexible on dates, ideally during school summer holidays 2012 and close proximity to Santa Cruz.

Destination

First preference is California: anywhere along the coastal highway, ideally Santa Cruz or close proximity -- San Francisco, Venice Beach, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles or other. Flexible on dates but ideally during school holidays this summer 2012. We can accommodate 4 adults and 1 or 2 children in children's bedroom.

I'll be looking for car hire, but if you have one you'd be willing to let me drive, even better.

Second preference La Rochelle, France, anywhere South of France - Preferred dates would be June-July

Third preference - surprise me
