Situated in the famous 'South Laines' Duke's cottage in Brighton is no more than a 5 minute stroll to the seafront in one direction and to the centre of town in the other.

The picturesque cottage has 2 double bedrooms, modern bathroom with 'rain' shower in bath, TV lounge with leather sofa & chairs, well equipped kitchen, large wooden dining table with leather chairs, outdoor 'al fresco' dining areas with tables and chairs to both the front and rear of the property.

We have a private car parking space which is accessed via electronic gates

Brighton is on the South East coast of England, and is known as 'London by the Sea' for it's vibrant culture & entertainment. Being just over an hour away from central London by direct regular train, it is a mecca for commuters and tourists alike.

The town in Brighton has two parts; one is Modern with typically British food & clothing stores, food halls, etc., and the other is split into the 'North' and 'South' Laines. These areas are well known for their antique shops, picturesque cobbled streets, and are wonderful places to explore. The cottage is located in the South Laines, so you really are in the centre of the action.

Brighton's fantastic Arts & Entertainment program is said to rival that of London, while retaining the charm of a typical British seaside town with the iconic Brighton Pier which has lights, entertainment & music. There is also the famous Royal Pavilion, remodelled by John Nash in the early 1800's for King George, Prince Regent and later King George IV (see www.royalpavilion.org.uk/). In addition, a Sea Life centre, mile upon mile of beach, a Harbour with restaurants and shops, and an interesting surrounding area - for example, the Hove Museum & Art Gallery is definitely worth a visit - ensuring that there is never a dull day in Brighton!

Especially when the whole of London is also at your fingertips. The train station is only a 10 min walk away from the cottage. Trains run every 15 mins or so, taking you directly into the centre of London in just over an hour. This is great as it can often take a similar amount of time using the bus/tube to attractions from accomodation within London itself! The train leaves early in the morning and runs into the late evening giving you lots of time to explore, before returning to a 'home from home' back in Brighton.
