Maison

A cosy family home, quite traditional and rustic. Wood burning stove, oil fired central heating. Two storey detatched set on a half an acre. The garden is large and private and not overlooked. BBQ area out the back in Summer. Washing machine and dishwasher. Satellite tv and wireless broadband. Tv in two of the bedrooms. Two double bedrooms - the third room is small and has a modern futon which folds out into a comfortable double bed, there's no other furniture in this room as its very small but it would be fine for kids/teens. Electric blankets on all the beds/rugs on the sofa/lots of books/turf for the fire - very restful!

Quartier

Quiet and safe country area. Only 1 mile to a friendly local pub called Daltons, 2 miles to the river Suck at Castlecoote (fishing). Also near Blacks Lough and Stonehams Lough and 3 miles to Roscommon town where there's a public swimming pool, gym, shops, restaurants, public transport etc. 20 miles to Athlone where there are shopping centres etc. 43 miles to Knock airport, 100 miles to Dublin airport (motorway most of the way). Peaceful, clean air, friendly people. Fabulous riverside/woodland walks. Nice scenery - ideal for a walking or painting holiday.
Or just sit on a bench in the garden, listen to the birds sing and do nothing......

À propos de nous

We are a married couple in our early 40s with one adult daughter in college. We absolutely love Portugal and have travelled there to Praia Da Luz for about the last 10 years. We hope to spend more and more time there as time goes on and maybe even move there eventually so I've learned to speak Portuguese - not very well, but enough to get by! We are non smokers and we have pets but they will be in kennels during your stay.
Eu falo um pouco de Portugues. Eu e o meu marido temos uma filia. Ela vai ir ao facudade mais tarde este ano. Gostamos do Portugal! Eu viagi la muitos vezes e gostariamos viagar la de nove.
Je parle um peu de Francais aussi.

Destination

We'd particularly like to stay in the Lagos region, in or near Praia da Luz but anywhere in portugal would be nice. Would be tempted by anywhere warm n sunny or anywhere on a beach or seafront!
