Maison

Our condominium was built in 1984 and has just been entirely painted, redecorated and parts of it have been renovated (the two bathrooms were entirely renovated by the previous owner a few years ago). On the first floor, there are 2 spacious bedrooms, a living room and a dining room, a kitchen with all amenities, a room for the washer and dryer as well as a modern bathroom with shower and bath. In the kitchen there is a patio door that gives onto a big patio that overlooks the Laurentians. In the basement (9 foot ceilings) there is a family room, a second bathroom, a third bedroom and a locker to store things in. It is very quiet, private and sunny as we have a side unit.

Quartier

Our condominium is located in the best area of Quebec city, the Quartier Montcalm. You can walk to get to everything Quebec city has to offer: rue Cartier, rue Saint-Jean, Quartier Saint-Roch, Vieux-Québec, Plaines d'Abraham, etc. You can do your shopping on foot in the multiple stores the Quartier Montcalm and the Faubourg Saint-Jean-Baptiste have to offer. A few minutes away, you can also go for long walks or for a run on the Plains of Abraham, go skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. For a family there are parks 10-15 minutes on foot that are always alive with children.
The Université Laval is a 15 minutes bus ride from here (less than 5 km: and the bus stop is a minute from our place), the ENAP and the Université du Québec à Québec is a few minutes away by bus or you can walk there (about 20 minutes).
By staying here, you will have the best of both worlds: on the one hand, a beautiful condo with losts of space, a great view of the Laurentians, century-old trees all around, and a heated outdoor pool during the summer days; and on the other hand, the city and everything great about Quebec city just minutes away.

À propos de nous

My husband and I are both college (cegep) professors. Recently, we lived 4 years in Boston and are planning a year-long stay in Paris next year where my husband will be doing post-doctoral studies. We have a 2 year old child and another child that will be born end of April. We love reading and spending time with our family and friends. We love spending time outdoors in the city or the country.

Destination

As my husband will be doing post-doctoral studies at the EHESS in Paris, we have only one destination in mind and that is Paris!
