A national historic landmark, this 1-bedroom condo is 875 square feet, spacious, quaint, and less than a 10-minute drive from Washington, DC. Located in Alexandria, Virginia, the condo is a 10-minute walk from shops and restaurants. It's also 2 miles from Old Town Alexandria, which is located on the Potomac River, with lots of shops, retaurants, and historic tours. Or hop in the car or take a bus to the subway system and you'll be in Washington, DC in a matter of minutes to explore all of the United States' most famous monuments; drive less than an hour and half to the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains for hiking or kayaking; or drive 1-2 hours to southern or western Virginia for phenomenal winery tours.
The condo itself is surrounded by trees in a very quiet neighborhood. There's 1 bedroom with a full-size bed that sleeps 2, and a large living room with a pull-out couch that also sleeps 2. A flat-screen 42" T.V. with digital cable is available for your entertainment. Car exchange (manual/stick shift) is available.

The neighborhood is an historic WWII housing complex, with diverse neighbors - singles, young couples, older couples, and families. Less than a mile away is an adorable neighborhood called Shirlington with shops and restaurants. We're also less than a mile away from the area's premier biking trails that lead into Washington, DC and into western Virginia, giving you miles and miles of walking, running, and biking. This Northern Virginia neighborhood is quaint and safe. We're 2 miles away from historic Old Town Alexandria, where you can find antique shops, clothing, restaurants, and river boat tours. Drive 15 minutes, and you'll be at the home of George Washington- the United Stated' first president. Finally, we're a 10-minute drive, or a 20-minute bus/subway ride away from the nation's capital, where you can see the United States' capital, Lincoln Memorial, and Washington monument, but then return home to the quiet suburbs after your long day of touring.

We are a young couple who are both attorneys with the federal government and have a dog who would stay with friends while you're here.
