Maison

This is a 1939 custom brick home with hardwood floors, a dining room, large kitchen, two bedrooms and 1 bath on the main floor, and large bedroom with 1/2 bath in the lower floor. We have a gorgeous city view, especially at night, and wonderful neighbors. Our home includes a really quaint backyard, with brick patio, a fire pit, old productive pear tree, mature flowering trees, and comfy setting for outdoor movies. It's a short walk to the "village" with great restaurants and shops. It's a short bus or taxi ride to downtown Seattle, where you can visit the award winning Seattle Art Museum, Pike Place Market, and great shopping and restaurants, and additional cultural events. We have two small loving dogs, but would more than likely find homes for them to stay in before we venture out. We currently have a nice newer model VW for use.

Quartier

Our neighborhood is very nice, with primarily mid to upper middle class working families, who care about their homes and quality of life. Our neighborhood is called Magnolia, and is on hills, overlooking the Puget sound and the Olympic Mountain range. In the summer we occasionally have neighborhood gatherings, that include outdoor bands, great food and drink. The families range in age from babies to the elderly, and all get along fantastically. You can walk down the hills (but that means walking back up the hills) to the village. In the village you can stop for a piece of pie, pick up fresh made Italian food, go to the post office, get coffee, do your banking, shop for clothing, hit the bookstore, the grocery store or pharmacy, walk in one of the many parks, go to the library, and take care of almost anything you want or need. There is Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Thai and local fare at the many restuarants in the village. If you want to get more culture, downtown is 10 mins by car, and 20 by bus. Downtown has all kinds of shopping, great restuarants, movies, farmers' market, museums, performances, and people watching. All of this is set on the bay of Puget Sound, which heads out to the Pacific Ocean, so boating is an excellent way to see beautiful Seattle.

My husband and I are in our late 40s. We have one son, Cameron who is currently away at college. My husband works for a successful local prodcue company, and I am a real estate agent. We've been married 21 years. We love to eat great fresh food, entertain our friends and family, and enjoy music, sports (especially college football), boating, skiing, watching movies, walking our dogs and reading. I speak a bit of German in addition to English.

Destination

I really want to celebrate my 50th birthday in September 2010 in Kinsale, Cork, Ireland! The best wish would be that U2 would be playing there, but that's not going to happen, so I'll just enjoy relaxing in Kinsale, and head up to Bellina for a visit too. : ) Thanks!
