Maison

We have 2 options, our large 2 bedroom house with fireplace (main house) or for shorter stays on 2 bedroom cottage, (nikau cottage) both have lovely sea views. We have 2 cats in the main house and one outside border collie dog. The cottage is cat free. We live in Punakaiki on the westcoast of the south island. We are 600m from the Pancake Rocks. We are surroundedby the paparoa national park. We have a tourist business running accommodation and horse trekking (the horse trekking is closed in the winter months) - you can see from our website we have 5 cottages on the property + main house and staff house. We are free to travel in the NZ winter months. We are a couple who having been living at this property for 17 years and we have one adult daughter. Our main house has huge windows facing the tasman sea to the west and the Punakaiki river mouth and lagoon to the south, the house has alot of native timber used for the floors and wall panelling. During the winter months we light the fire which along with double glazing throughout the house keeps the house roasting!! Quartier

Punakaiki has a small population of about 70 people, we are 42km from the nearest town of 12,000 people (Greymouth). We live within the heart of the Paparoa National Park, there are good walking tracks all around Punakaiki and long sandy beaches. We live on the coastal highway between Greymouth and Westport - a stunning drive in all weather!

We are a married couple wanting to see other parts of the world. We have travelled to Asian countries over the last few years and the USA. We own a busy tourist business and can afford to be away in our off season over the winter months. We offer horse riding and accommodation - have good a good website detailing what we do.
