Maison

The House is a newly built modern,five bedroomed house set in the countryside on a third of an acre. It has wooden floors throughout with all modern conveniences. It has four bedrooms ensuite and one main bathroom downstairs. There is a large garden to the rear with magnificent views of McGillacuddy's Reeks(Ireland's highest mountain range).There are three bedrooms downstairs,a large bright living room with dining table,couches and open fire. There is also a large kitchen with dining table,cooker,dishwasher,microwave,high chair etc. The utility room adjacent to kitchen has a washing machine,tumble dryer,ironing board and iron. The upstairs bedrooms are bright and airy with the main bedroom having some lovely views over the surrounding countryside. There is also a large patio area to the rear of the house with garden furniture.

Quartier

The house is set in the townland of Ardcanaught,near the villages of Castlemaine and Boolteens. It is in a rural area with working farms next door. It is in a very quiet area but ideal for either a large family holiday,golfing,fishing or sightseeing/touring holiday.There is a lovely walk from the house to the bank of the River Maine which takes approx 20 mins. Castlemaine village is approx 2 mile away and has 4 pubs,local supermarket and Boolteens village is a mile away with 2 pubs and a small shop. Almost all of the pubs procide a good standard of Pub Grub. Inch Beach,Castlegregory Beach are 15 and 25 minute drive away and Tralee and Killarney are both 15 and 25 minute drives from the house. Dingle is approx 40 minute drive.

I am 43 years of age and am married with four children(two boys and two girls)aged between 13,11,9 and 4. My wife,Linda, is 43 and is at home full time with the children.They are very well behaved and treat there own and other people's property with respect. I work as an Insurance Broker in Dublin. We don't have any pets. We are doing our first exchange to the UK this summer. We would love to exchange within Ireland around short school holidays or to France,Spain,Italy or Portugal for 2 or 3 weeks in summer 2012. As the house is a holiday home we are open to non simultaneeous exchanges at any stage. We love to experience new traditions,food and people. We are interested in all types of sports. English is our main language but my wife can speak some French and German.

Destination

This can be a non-simultaneous exchange. The dates are flexible and we would prefer not to be in a city and as near to the coast or countryside as possible. We do not have a specific city or region in mind at this stage.
