Maison

We are seeking a family who would exchange a large property (2 bedrooms, sleeps 6 people) in a very sought after area of Montréal. Ten minutes to down town Montreal and Mont Royal Park by public transportation. A five minutes’ walk to Metro.The appartment is beautiful and is full of natural light. It is very large . There is two large bedroom with two double size bed. A beautiful renovated kitchen with an adjacent dining room and a small solarium perfect for that first cup of coffee while planning your day in Montreal. There is also a large living room and an office equipped with high speed internet. A washer and dryer for clothes and a dishwasher are present in the appartment

Our cottage in Ste-Adele (3 bedrooms, sleeps 8 persons)is located in the Laurentians an hour from Montreal, (between Montreal and Mont Tremblant), would also be included in the exchange.
* It would be possible to commute between two homes and thus allow you to enjoy activities both urban (Montreal) and outdoor (in the Laurentians). Our cottage is fairly new ( about 10 years old). It has been totally redecorated by a designer one year ago so it look new. There is three big bedrooms with a queen size bed ( bigger than a double bed)in each room. There is also a large basement which serve as a TV room and the sofa can be transform easily into another very comfortable double bed. In the dining room, the table can sit eight persons. There is also a solarium that is perfect to enjoy a breakfast or a drink after a long day of enjoying the outdoor. The solarium face the forest so it is peaceful and make you feel as if nothing else was around you.
We would like to trade for a period of 2 to 6 weeks. The period is sought from June 20 2011 to August 14th 2010

Quartier

The large appartment is located near Mount Royal park in a very sought after area of Montréal. The area is quiet and surrounded by lots of trees. It is a beautiful old appartment that although it has been renovated with all the modern commodities ( new kitchen,bathroom ) is still full of character with a lot of wood borders and floors. It is a very quiet area with a lot of tree. Within 15 minutes of this quiet area by public transportation, you'll find yourself in the heart of downton Montréal to join the numerous activities and festivals ( there is a lot of free activities in the streets during the festivals) that take place all year long in Montréal. A five minutes walk to Metro.Within 5-10 minutes walking, there is a pharmacy,a grocery store,a bakery. It is a quiet area and the appartment is surrounded by school, so it is very quiet in the summer as the school are closed.
For people who knows Montreal a little, it is located nearby University of Montreal.

There you will find a huge and beautiful grocery store, a pharmacy,a bakery, and several good restaurants.
As we are located at the base of a ski hill, it is easy to just go outside to walk in the woods or climb the mountain. There is walking trail around our neighborhood. There is a small lake about 1 km from the cottage where you can swim in the summer and the kids can play on the beach or enjoy a ride in kayak or pedalo. We are also located within 5 minutes from a golf.


Both Montreal and the Laurentians are full of activities all year

My name is Dominique and I am 46 years of age (pediatrician), my spouse's first name is Dennis,
and he’s 48 (electrical engineer). We have two sons (14 and 11 years old), well educated and polite.
Among our family is my mother of 72 years (retired grandmother). Anne-Marie 49 years (my sister) (Mortgage Broker).
