Attractive and comfortable, my top floor corner apartment has windows and balconies all around and is a few blocks from the subway and bus lines in all directions. And in this eminently walkable city, it is 30-45 minutes away on foot from most of the places you will want to visit.

Quartier

Around the corner from the Jorge Luis Borges Museum (the house he lived in in the '60s), my apartment is also close to the Fine Arts Museum, the Recoleta Cultural Center, other cultural and nightlife offerings and public parks. Also close at hand are excellent delicatessens, meat and vegetable stores, supermarkets and laundries, along with a wide variety of cafés and eat-in and take-out food providers.

À propos de nous

A native Californian, I have lived in Buenos Aires for more than 30 years now. My only son – a Ph.D candidate at Stanford – went the other direction. Taken unawares by an intense desire to once again walk a Pacific beach, smell eucalyptus and feel the fog on my first visit to see him, I am seeking a house swap during spring or fall (not incidentally the best seasons to be in Buenos Aires) in proximity to both son and beach.

Destination

Dates are flexible, destination less so. I would like to spend around a month as near to the beach and my son at Stanford as I can get.
