Double storied home, completely and recently renovated Art Deco features, with modern stying, Jarrah features such as kitchen furniture with all push button appliances and polished wood flooring throughout. Two living areas, five bedrooms, (2 double) king size main bedroom with full ensuite. Upstairs three bedrooms with spa and shower bathroom. Downstairs powder room large family dining area with internet computer section and games area (pool).
A very comfortable home for a family to stay and feel at home!

Quartier

Our home is in a quiet leafy street in a North West suburb of Melbourne. It is literally 5 mins from the main freeway route connecting you to the rest of Australka. YOu will be 15 mins from the international airport for interstate or international travel. Buses, trams, and trains are all just mins away. Shopping, restaurant, the city centre all mins away, (15-20 to city centre). My sister and family live 5 mins away and would be happy to pick you up from airport and help you settle in if desired. Great neighbours, from young families to retirees. All are friendly and have the characteristic Melbourne charm.
Visit the gold diggings at Ballarat-Bendigo areas in one and a half hours, travel to Geelong beach and resorts another 20 mins or the Great Ocean Road to scenic and wild Australian coastline.
Churches are many and close, sports centre and heated pool within 5 mins drive or a 20 minute walk.
Visit the city of Melbourne, on the free tram, see where Ned Kelly, Australia's most notorius bushranger was hanged at the Melbourne Jail, visit Lygon St with its cosmopolitan and Italian flavour and restaurants! You name it Melbourne has it. See the new Docklands and Harbourtown.

I am Peta (wife) and husband David. Our two grown children are soon to be leaving the nest, Nicole 22 and Bryant 18 so this trip is all about them discovering the paternal roots in England. My father died before I married DAvid who is Mauritian and we have travelled there, and visited mother (grandmother's) family in Tasmania so last family discovery tour is to England and Ireland. MY father's brothers are still alive in Leicester, Ipswich with cousins and other friends in St. Albans and Wiltshire. So we want to find a home somewhere accessible to those locations.
My mother's family are ex convicts (very fashionable now in Australia--i am 6th generation Australian) from Ireland so we would love to link a trip up there to the north.
I am an ex fashion designer, then tertiary fashion teacher, now a Christian minister with Aust. Christian churches, (part of AOG world wide fastest growing church moverment--we love our church and enjoy it). My husband is a morgage broker and property developer.
Nicole has just completed her BA in music, Bryant just finished secondary schooling and is studying Mandarin in China before meeting with us in England. He then hopes to travel in Europe again with Nicole before his tertiary studying next year.
We are honest, we are fun, we are tidy and clean, (but not overly fussy about it), we love each other, we love people, we sometimes argue because we all have something to say, and we will look after your home and we will probably be your friends for life. (By the way, we are definately not perfect, so please dont worry about the minister thingy!) That's us :)

Destination

HI there again, we want to stay within 1-2 hours drive of Leicester, Ipswich-Norwich, St. Albans Herforshire, or Wiltshire as this is where my fhther's family live for about 3 to 4 weeks. It would be great to be able to also visit London by train (ex fashion designer and i lived in Herfordshire before I married so i simply must go shopping in Oxford St!!)
Bryant finishes his Mandarin course in China in July so he wil fly straight to England to meet us if we can get a home exchange in July or if our exchange is a little later, then he and Nicole (our daughter) will do some European travel then meet up with us--mum and day to do the England bit. We would love to swap homes simultaneously and cars so that you and we can travel around a bit. We have two automatic cars and would love it if you have auto to. We are all competent and safe drivers.
