Maison

Our one-storey house is on the west side of LA, in a quiet suburban area. The master bed has a California king-size bed and french windows onto the garden. There are two other bedrooms.

The house has recently been updated with a new kitchen and master bath. It also has a sitting room and a family room. There is an outside deck with a barbecue. Please note: we have wi-fi, and a television, but the latter only plays dvds! Washer and dryer included.

Quartier

Our neighborhood is called Beverlywood. It's a quiet suburban area where lots of families walk to temple on the weekend. It's a short drive into Beverly Hills, about 15 minutes from Santa Monica and 30 minutes from Malibu. Downtown LA offers theater and museums, and of course, the two Getty museums offer world class exhibits.

Additionally, there's lots of places within a few hours drive: Vegas is 6 hours, Santa Barbara (wine country) is 1.5 hours, Monterey about 5 hours, and of course, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knott's Berry Farm, Raging Waters are all within easy reach.

À propos de nous

My home town is York, England and I try to bring my kids over to visit my family once a year. This year, (2010) there will be four of us: Sam, my other half, and one of our teenagers: at the time of writing the others have other plans: subject to change!

Sam is the director of a charity in Boston and I am a garden designer in LA. We both have houses full of books. Sam's other passions are music, (which he writes and plays), and photography. My interests are cooking, scrapbooking and floral design. We both love history.
