Maison

This charming home has three levels, with large common areas for coming together as well as private areas for separate family groups. The ground floor includes a home theater system with 32 inch flat screen TV, full computer system, games, king bedroom, shower bath with separate dressing area, utility room and garage. The main level has a wrap around deck with lovely views of the Black Mountains in Western NC; gas and charcoal grill and two outdoor dining areas. Inside, there is a great room with vaulted ceiling, large native stone, wood burning fireplace, dining room with seating for 8 adults, small, well equipped kitchen and a queen bedroom with private bath. On the third level is a charming loft with library, comfortable seating, game table, coffee pot, and two queen bedrooms with a full shared bathroom. There is a modular phone system with a hand held unit on each floor and unlimited long distance calling throughout the U.S. is provided at no additional charge. In the garage are two mountain bikes, backpacks and fishing gear. The Mt. Mitchell Golf Course (4-Star Rated) is within walking distance and offers a quality restaurant with bar. The famous Blue Ridge Parkway is just 5 miles and leads to many of the attractions in Western NC, including the famous Biltmore House in Asheville - largest private residence in the U.S. - just 45 minutes away. Outdoor adventures include, hiking the Mountain to Sea Trails, trout fishing in the South Toe River (walking distance), rafting, rock climbing and more. Every age group will find interesting activities in this area including great shopping for beautiful, handmade arts and craft items like hand-blown glass, pottery and all manner of ceramics, baskets, textile arts and sculpture. Gallaries and art studios are everywhere here in addition to live summer theatre at the Parkway Playhouse in Burnsville. Mt. Mitchell, highest point in the eastern U.S. is just a short drive from the chalet with a restaurant at 6000 feet altitude.

Quartier

Our neighborhood is quiet and somewhat secluded with beautiful mountain views and little traffic. The chalet is within walking distance of the golf course and the cart trails are the ideal place for long walks in the morning and after the course closes at dusk - bikes are also allowed on the cart ways.

À propos de nous

We are real estate brokers in Western NC with a specialty in vacation property rentals and timeshares. Prior to retiring, we were both enjoyed careers in sales of graphic arts equipment. We have been quietly retired since 2004 and enjoy the beauty of the western Carolina mountains as our permanent home.

Destination

We will have interest in a non-simultaneous exchange and our dates are somewhat flexible.
