This is a woodland townhouse in the Riverchase neighborhood of Sapphire Valley Resort, 1-1/4 hour from Asheville, North Carolina. Approximately 1,400 square feet, the house has three levels with the entry on the middle level. The upper level consists of a lounge/dining area and a full kitchen. There is a large open deck off the lounge which overlooks the Horsepasture River (through the trees). The deck has a table and 4 chairs for outside dining. The lounge/dining area has an open fireplace and seating for 5 people. There is a 32" TV with DVD and VCR. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range/oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, double sink with disposer, and all necessary cooking utensils and table settings. A large serving bar/counter seats two. There is good lighting on all levels and all three levels are fully air conditioned and heated. This townhouse is particularly well suited for two couples wishing privacy.

The middle level has a bedroom and adjoining full bath with a tub/shower. The bedroom has a queen-size (larger than double) bed, dresser, a built-in closet and two bedside stands with lamps. The bedroom has a ceiling fan, and wall heater for winter use. There are seven wide steps to upper level.

The lower level consists of a large bedroom/living area with a full bathroom (tub/shower)and a large screened porch with 2 person swing and a dining table with 4 chairs. The bed/living room has a sofa and a rocking chair as well as a small round dining table for two. It is also equipped with a t.v., vcr, movies, books, a mini refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker and a toaster oven. The lower level is separately air conditioned and has its own ceiling heat system. There is also a clothes washer and dryer. Steps to lower level are nine.

Ample parking is available in front of the building. There are a some gentle steps leading from the parking area down to the entrance. Automatic lighting brightens the area at night.

Quartier

Our townhome is very cozy and cool in the summer at 3,200 feet elevation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We belong to Sapphire Valley Resort which has wonderful amenities such as three heated swimming pools (one is inside) two jacuzzis and two saunas, a miniature golf course, health & fitness facilities and billards all available at no cost to our guests. The resort also has two golf courses, tennis and boating on a large lake at a small additional cost.

We are looking for an exchange to the Dublin, Ireland area, or a location in England, possibly Scotland. The Tuscany area of Italy is also a preferred destination.
