Maison

Our house is a very comfortable four bedroom “Beach Holiday House” at Crescent Head located about 20 minutes from our permanent home. The house sleeps eight comfortably. Three bedrooms upstairs with the fourth on the lower level. One bedroom is queen size, one double, one twin and one with bunks. The open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area is spacious with large windows and glass sliding doors which overlook the large wrap around deck with views of the tree tops and ocean. There is a gas BBQ situated on the deck as well as a wood burning BBQ in the back garden.The kitchen is fully equipped and has dishwasher and microwave as well as oven and everything needed . There is a bathroom upstairs as well as a second toilet and shower downstairs in the laundry area. When we stay in the house we spend most of our time dining and relaxing on the deck enjoying the lovely sea breeze.

Quartier

Crescent Head is a quiet village with unspoilt charm and legendary surf on The Mid North Coast of NSW..Surfing is the big attraction here particularly for Malibu board riders. Crescent Head has one of the best right-hand point breaks in the world, and the town is one of the hot spots of international surfing. The town is in the middle of 60 km of protected coastline. It has a population of 1,200. The nearest airport is at Port Macquarie which is about 1 hour by road. Port Macquarie is 1 hour by air from Sydney. Crescent Head is the next town north of Port Macquarie . North of Crescent Head is Hat Heat and then South West Rocks. All of these places are very popular Holiday destinations. Our house is within easy walking distance (5 – 10 mins) to the beach and the village shops. There is a Pharmacy, (fantastic ) Bakery, Supermarket, Newsagent, Fruit and Vegetable shop selling local produce. There is a country club with golf course, tennis courts and a bowling green. Coffee shops and some good restaurants. Crescent Head would be a very relaxing location from where you could discover all the delights of the Mid North Coast of NSW. About an hour by road is the Billabong Koala Park where you can pat these beautiful animals but any afternoon from the house you can go for a 15 min walk and usually see many kangaroos grazing on the grass at the local rugby fields.

We are Kerrie and Gerard both in our late fifties. I have recently retired from the Aged Care Industry and Gerard is a Paramedic with the NSW Ambulance Service and hopes to retire in 2011. We have three adult sons and two granddaughters. Our sons live in Sydney NSW , Newcastle NSW and Osaka Japan. We love to travel. We have travelled extensively through Asia and once to Europe and our dream is to spend about 6 months in Italy during 2012. We have not done a house exchange before but would care for your home as we do our own. We both enjoy gardening, reading, music and movies. We enjoy camping especially in our local area which has some of the most beautiful and secluded camp areas. We both enjoy good food and nice wine and entertaining our friends.
