Maison

We a located in trancquil and rural setting on a 0.7ha site with mature garden.

The house is 13 years old, single storey with attic conversion (new). On the ground floor there are 2 double and 1 twin bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite. The is a bathroom with shower and a wc on the 1st floor. There is a play room on this floor, which can be used as a bedroom if required. There are 2 double bedroom and bathroom on the 2nd floor.
We have a kitchen, large living room and utility room also. We have all the mod cons, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, fully equiped kitchen, tvs, dvds, highspeed wireless broadband, wii, steros, satellite tv, etc.
Outside the is a garage, patio area with BBQ, patio heater and seating for 6 people.
We have a very large garden with slide, swing and trampoline, plenty for for childern to play. We have 2 pedal go-karts and bicycles for use.

Nous habitons une ferme dans un quartier tranquil et rural. Notre maison est un pavillon, construit il y a 13 ans, avec grenier. Chez nous il y a une cuisine bien équipée avec lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, machine à laver, sèche–linge et un four à micro-ondes. Au rez-de-chaussée, il y a deux chambres à deux lits. La chambre principale a un lit grand lit avec salle de bain attenante. Une autre salle de bain et WC se trouvent aussi au rez-de-chaussée. La salle de jeux pour enfants se trouve à cet étage et peut être utilisée comme chambre supplémentaire si nécessaire. Dans le grenier, il y a aussi 2 chambres pour deux personnes et une salle de bain. C’est une maison tout confort – télés, dvds, internet sans-fil, wii, hi-fis, télé satelite etc.

Dehors on trouvera un garage, une terasse et un aire de barbecue. Nous avons aussi un grand jardin avec balançoire, toboggan, trampoline et places assies pour 6 personnes. Il y a aussi deux vélos et deux karts à votre disposition.

Quartier

We are situated about 1km from the local village, Knockavilla, which has a good shop, petrol station and an RC church.
We are surrounded by green fields where most of the farming is dairy with some cattle. In Dundrum, 3km away we have a 18 hole glof course, an excellent resutrant in Dundrum House Hotel and beautiful woodland walks.
There are 3 towns nearby, Cashel 10km, Tipperary 10km and Thurles 15km. Cashel famous for the Rock of Cashel, a picturesque, pre chrisitian castle in the town. It is one of the most visited sites in Tippeary. Cashel has many resutrants, Thai, Chinese, Indian and Traditional. There are great lively 'pups' with entertainment which cater for all ages. Cashel has an excellent tourist office. It offers many other element also.
Tipperary has a recently opened leisure and sports complex, with swimming pool, gym, all weather pitchs and all indoor sports facilities. There is a 3 screen cimena, the Excel Theatre with tourist and heritage centre. Just outside Tipperary there is the scenic Glen of Aherlow and the Galtee mountains. The scenery here is breathtaking and wonderful.

On the road to Thrules you will pass the historic Holycross Abbey, a fully restored monastic abbey. The abbey is now a functioning chruch on the banks of the river Suir. In Thurles we has good shops, resturants and pubs. There is a swimming pool, library and arts centre. Thurles is the home of GAA, Gaelic Athletic Association, our national sport, founded in Hayes Hotel in 1883.

About 1 hour away is the Clonea beach just outside Dungarvan town. Here you can surf and bodyboard. It you have a strong constitution you can go sea angling from Dugarvan by appointment. We are also only an hours drive from Cork city, Waterford city, Limerick city and Kilkenny.

Come and meet the Irish in the heart of the Golden Vale, where the crack is mighty!

À propos de nous

We have exchanged 2 times already and both have been very successful and enjoyable experiences.
We are 2 adults and 2 children, both boys ages 9. Oh I forgot the dog, a golden retreiver, Kerry, our 3 year old baby. You will not meet her as she too will be going on holidays to my brothers.
John is full time diary farmer, we do not live on the farm by the way. He has a great interest in all types of machinery. Mary is teacher, working in Tipperary Town, teaching adults who are returning to education for various reasons. I teach business type subjects, accounting, payroll and IT mostly.
The boys, Brendan and Ciaran are typical 9 year old boys.Their ture passion is playing rugby with their local club and following Munster in their march to the Heineken Cup Final, we hope!!!!!!

We love going to France and have gone for the last 5 years, we really enjoy the lifestyle and the weather of course. We have made one exchange in the Summer of 2010 in France and because of its success we were willing to travel further so for the Summer of 2011 we exchanged in America, for Summer of 2012 we would love to go to Canada or Mid-West America would be our top choices.

Nous sommes 2 adultes et deux enfants – des jumeaux agés de neuf ans. Le chien, Kerry –golden retriever, va aussi en vacances pendant votre séjour! John est agriculteur et Mary enseigne des adultes dans la ville de Tipperary.

Destination

In Canada and the United States we would prefer a place in the country or small town but not too isolated.
