Maison

Our apartment was built in 2001. There are 7 apartments in the building, all families with children and retired couples so it is family-friendly and apart from the children in the building it is relatively quiet. Our apartment is on the 2nd floor of the building, there is lift.

It’s a 3 bedroom apartment but one room is used as a home office so there are 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed and our son’s room has an individual bed.
So it sleeps 3 comfortable in bedrooms but we can also provide individual foldout or air beds for additional children.

There is one bathroom with bath and toilet and another smaller bathroom with shower and toilet.

Living room has TV and DVD, a few channels are in English.

The apartment has central air conditioning and heat, washer, dishwasher and fully equipped kitchen. High-speed Internet.

There is a patio at the back of the building with some space for children to play outside.

Quartier

The apartment building is in a residential neighborhood about 25-30 minutes walk from the tourist center. Very conveniently located to public transportation: buses going to the very center of Seville stop directly in front of the apartment. There is also a newly built network of rental bikes in Seville and there are 2 bike rental stations within 100m of the apartment.

The Seville train station is about 10 minutes walk from the apartment, great for taking day trips. The neighborhood has several large supermarkets, as well as small convenience stores, shops, and bakeries. Tapas bars and restaurants within walking distance, as well as a park with playground for children.

We are a couple with an 8 year old son. My wife is a language teacher and I work from home for a software company. I was born and raised in the US, my wife is from Seville so we speak English and Spanish at home. Prior to moving back to settle in Sevilla we lived in the Canary Islands and in the US. My wife also lived in France for a few years and speaks French

We like to travel whenever we can but when we are here in Seville we usually hang out with friends, go to the park with our son or eat at a local tapas bar, etc...

Destination


If you are interesting in spending SEMANA SANTA (Holy Week) in Sevilla for 2011 (April 16-23) please let us know. Seville is very famous for it's holy week tradition and the city's accomation fills up quickly. Our apartment is nicely located for this because it is conveniently close to the processions but we are not right in the very center where all the crowds are which can be overwhelming at times.
