My house is a pretty small and very warm and cozy flat on the 5th (last) floor of an Athens downtown building. Elevator until the 4th, then stairs for 1 floor up. It has 2 beautifully colored rooms connected by a corridor, and an extra miniature kitchen and bathroom with small bathtub. It has a huge balcony (actually bigger than the house!) with a high view over Athenian rooftops. Not the most romantic view, but it looks to the sunset, and you don't get many great views in downtown Athens anyway. It is bright and sunny.
The main room includes the bed, desk, TV & dvd. The bed is a couch which opens up to be a double bed with a proper, very comfortable matress (this is the bed I sleep in). The TV is a big 42 wide flatscreen, and you can play your music cds in the dvd. It has aircondition, and there is an extra movable heat radiator in case it's cold.
There's internet (plugin with cable, not wifi) and a landline.
The other room includes a couch which again opens up to become a very comfy double bed (but on the floor), the clothes wardrobe, the fridge and the clothes-washing machine (since the kitchen is a kitchenette and has no room for those).
The kitchenette is very small but fully equiped.
Ideally it is comfortable for one person, or a couple who don't need much space, but it can sleep up to 4 people.

Quartier

The house is on a street right off a major downtown avenue (Alexandras). As it is not on the avenue itself, you don't get all of the busy street noice. It has a number of small and one big park nearby, as well as super markets, local market, bars, cafes and many eating places.
It is very central. You can be in 15 minutes to major central hubs with bars and clubs and central markets.
There is easy and frequent public transportation with buses (bus stop right next to the house) and 2 metro stations (15 min walk).

I am an adventurous freelance webdesigner 36years old woman. I am into music, playing guitar and singing, I've been semi professionally into dance (salsa and tango) and other types of performance. I'm also an action woman, having done lots of activity sports like paragliding, rock climbing, scuba diving etc.
But one of my greatest loves is traveling which I do quite often for long periods of time.
So my house sits all alone, waiting for someone to use it :)
I speak Greek, English, Spanish and some French.
I have been traveling around Europe since July 2009 and won't be back home until spring 2010 for sure.

Destination

I am already traveling so the house sits empty. I've been away since July 2009 and will not go back until spring 2010. So I'm available for a non-simultaneous exchange and my dates are very flexible.
I prefer a longer stay, like 1 month, but less is fine. And you can use my house anytime until spring 2010 (unless I keep on traveling!)

I am looking for destinations around Europe and at this time particularly around Amsterdam, Hilversum, Utrecht, the Netherlands.
I'm also interested in Scotland, somewhere in Edinburgh or the highlands and Berlin in Germany.
