Maison

Our home is brand new. It was built in 2008.
It is located on a private lake near the Pocono Mountains. The name of the lake is Lake Ariel. It is centrally located to New York, Philadelphia and the Pocono Mountains, home of the Pocono 500 for you race fans.
The home has three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with its own master bath. There are two other bedrooms - one with a set of bunk beds and a single bed and another bedroom with bunks. There is another bath on the 2nd floor and a full bath on the first floor - the floor plan is very open and very liveable - the living room has a gas fire place for those cooler nights and one of the best features is a large outdoor deck, lake side, well equipped with lots of outdoor furniture for relaxing. The dock is also well equipped with chairs for relaxing and the lake is well known for it's fishing.
The home also has a canoe, kayak, and paddle boat available for use.
Motorboating, while allowed on the lake, will not be available for anyone who utilizes the home due to our cottager association rules.
The home is very stylishly decorated and a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the "city" and a great place to sit back and relax or regroup or refocus. The sunsets are beautiful as well.
The house is a one mile walk from the village of Lake Ariel that is home to our local ice cream palace - the "LA Twister", as well as two restaurants, a gas and convenient mart, a roman catholic church and a pizza place. Many other restautrants are located close by as well but do require a car ride.
There are casinos nearby for those who have a "gambling streak".
If you are an outdoor person, there is horsebackriding closeby and also many hiking trials as well. We utilize this home almost all summer but are willing to "exchange" with the right people and the right home.

Quartier

A small quaint private lake. Homes are nearby on either side of the property for those people that do not like total seclusion.

My husband and I just built this home.
We have been at this Lake for eight years and could not love it more. We had an older cottage that we tore down and rebuilt.
I am hopeful other people will enjoy it as much as we do.
We have three children and the house is brand new. I am an attorney and he is a teacher.

Destination

I am particularly interested in homes on the beach or near the beach in the northeast US or Florida.
