Maison

1920's Terraced house on a quite cul de sac, a stones throw from the vibrant Ranelagh village, 15 mins walk from Dublin City Centre. House has two large bedrooms and one smaller single bedroom.
The living space carefully balances modern openplan living with classic 1920's style. It consists three interconnecting spaces. The first is a south facing sitting room with TV and period fire place. This connects to a playroom/library. We have an extensive collection of toys for our two year old girl Lucy. From here there are double doors into the kitchen/dinner and full height doors out to the deck and back garden. We also have a rural cottage in Donegal, North West Ireland. Enjoy long river and beach walks, followed by a pint of guinness in Ardara, then a sauna in our converted cowshed!

Quartier

Ranelagh is a vibriant urban village at the edge of Dublin City centre. There are lots of restaurants-Indian, Italian, Irish, Thai within a five minute walk and very many more restaurants in the City, which is a 15 minute walk or if you are feeling lazy, a five minute hop on the local tram (3 mins from house). There are also many bars, cafe's and shops from upmarket delis to art, clothing and bookshops.
There are five good parks within ten minutes walk. They range from gardens (Ranelagh Park and Dartmoth Square) to full scale parks with many sports facilities (Herbert Park).
Rathmines Town is ten minutes west of Ranelagh. It has a brand new public liesure centre with pool. There is also a public library and a cinema. Like Ranelagh it has a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shops.
Within easy walking distance are some of Dublin's most popular tourist sites - St Stephens Green, Grafton Street, Trinity College, St Patrick's Cathedral and Temple Bar. There are a variety of museums within easy reach as well as the Pheonix Park and Dublin zoo.
In Donegal, enjoy the stunning, dramatic scenery, river and beach walks, pints in the local pubs and huge log fires in our cozy rural cottage.

Barry is a transport planner responsible for the Dublin Regional Transport Model. He loves cinema, sailing, science and crime fiction. Lucy is our 2 year old girl.
