Maison

The house is less than 1 km from a major highway, is 2300 square feet. There is a large living room with sweeping views of the area and a hilltop deck from which to enjoy it. There are three full bathrooms, three ample sized bedrooms and areas for guests. We have two cars, including one large SUV for family trips. We have one cat who spends much of her time outside. There is a basketball hoop, gas grill and an electronic piano for your use. The kitchen is large and fully operational. Both indoor and outdoor dining spots are available.

Quartier

The house is on a hillside in a quiet neighborhood overlooking Mt Tamalpais and is a 15 minute drive from San Francisco. A beautiful base from which to explore the wine country, the city of San Francisco and the rugged west coast of the U.S. Golden gate national park and Muir woods are very close and city recreational parks are a short walk away as is downtown Mill Valley with many wonderful shops and restaurants. Hiking, mountain biking and sailing are all within easy reach. The weather is frequently cool in the summer and evening/morning fog keeps the nights very pleasant.

À propos de nous

We are a family of 5 with three children ages 11 (twins) and 6. Charles (Chuck) is a physician and on the faculty of the University of California Medical School. Jessica is a librarian at the local library, which is closeby and very beautiful. The twins, Cate and Elise, play the piano and enjoy swimming in the neighborhood pool, sewing and tap dance. Patrick, the youngest, has just started playing soccer and is in the kindergarten.

Destination

Our preference is July/August of 2010.
This could potentially be a non-simultaneous exchange
We are hoping to go to Switzerland, Ireland or Spain in 2010.
