Maison

Inside/Outside open plan on top of a hill overlooking both the Caribbean sea and St.Lucia hilly landscape. We are located right above Sandals la Toc resort. The house is fresh and airy with beautiful views from all angles. The neighboring island of Martinique is clearly visible.
Three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, plus mezzanine, den/office, large living room, large outside sitting and dining areas, open all equipped kitchen.
High ceilings everywhere that let trade winds gently cool all living areas.
High speed internet, double TV system ( satellite with French channels from neighboring Martinique network and US channels on local cable)
A/C in all bedrooms. Wooden floors inside and rough tiles outside.
Huge garden, with all sorts of tropical plants and flowers, lots of palm trees, fruit trees
( mango, citrus, papaw, etc),
Secure and fenced with security gate.
House keeper and gardener service every day except weekend.
We have tried to keep a simple, relaxing and uniformly fresh atmosphere, highlighting outside luminosity and natural colors and our own paintings inside.

Quartier

The house is located in Coubaril, a very quiet neighborhood, 5 minutes away from the capital city of Castries, 10 minutes from the regional airport, one hour from the international airport.
Saint Lucia is extremely well preserved and counts a number of unique indigenous animal species.The rain forest covers most of the central island, great for hiking (guides are readily available). Beaches are always close by. The nearest one is five minutes away.
All sorts of land and sea activities are at hand and easy to book in Castries: deep sea fishing, boating, surfing, scuba diving, horse back riding, kayaking, 4x4 adventures, etc.
The Castries produce market is open every day, as are numerous supermarkets with local and imported food.
St.Lucians are extremely gentle and open to foreigners. You can count on them to help you out. Criminality rate is very low compared to that of other West Indian islands
( which makes burglar bars an exception in St.Lucia. When compared to their omnipresence in other islands, it is a notable fact!)
Numerous airlines have direct flights with daily service from North America or Europe. Air Caraibes and Liat service regional transportation to and from all other Caribbean islands. There is also a ferry service to and from French neighboring islands. Most international visitors do not need a visa when they enter as tourists.

We are a semi retired couple, both 56 years old, which makes us quite flexible with traveling dates.
We own a boat charter company that operates elsewhere in the Caribbean and the Bahamas. I used to teach English in Guadeloupe but resigned to work alongside my husband many years ago.
Our three children are all grown ups and do not live with us any more. The youngest one (21) is at university in Canada and our two other sons (35 and 31) work in the USA and in the Bahamas.
We have lived for more than 30 years in this part of the world as well as in Florida and we made up our minds about settling in St.Lucia about 3 years ago.
We are both French speaking originally, with ties in France and in Canada.
We both love traveling.

Destination

We do not have specific dates for traveling at this time. We are quite flexible and can decide to leave on an adventure from one day to the next.
We travel a lot, for business or pleasure, and our house is often available . Plans can be made according to requests.
