Maison

I have a million dollar view in a fabulous location. My balcony is huge and overlooks a wide canapee of trees. On the horizon you can see Austin's thrieving skyline. Downtown is litterally 5-10 minutes driving distance and so is Zilker Park. My apartment complex is located directly on the Barton Creek Greenbelt. A hiker's and mountain biker's paradies. The complex has a pool and a gym. My apartment itself has 800 sqft, a vaulted ceiling and fire place. It is the perfect cozy place (I call it my perch) with an unbeatable view and location. My balcony has been likened to the Caribean (with all the greenery). I get lots of uhhhs and ahhs when people first come to visit me. I live by myself with (mostly outdoor) cats.

Quartier

My apartment is located in a complex called The Woods and the name is very apropos. Trees and beautiful landscaping abound. From my property, you can immediately enter the Greenbelt and hike to Zilkerpark and Barton Springs Pool in about one mile. You can walk to a trendy Taco Place called Taco Deli which is on the corner (careful, you might get addicted to their amazing tacos). Downtown is minutes away by car or a cheap cab fare. We have a nice major mall three minutes away as well (if you feel like shopping). Honestly, my location has the best of all worlds. Nature and thrieving city.

I was born in Germany but have made Texas my home for the past 16 years. I love Austin and the surrounding Hillcountry. There are so many hidden treasures in this neck of the woods of Texas. I work in property management but am a teacher by "trade". I graduated from UT Austin with a bachelors degree in teaching. I am somewhat addicted to travelling but don't get to travel nearly as much as I like to. I hope that I can share my wonderful place with somebody who appreciates Austin as much as I do. It's worth a visit for many reasons.

Destination

I am hoping to get away for a long weekend during ACL. I know many people travel from near and far to come to this major music event. Let's trade places and have a wonderful time!
