Maison

We live in a detached house on the edge of the Cotwolds - easy driving distance of Stratford-on-Avon, Oxford, Bath and Cirencester. The Brecons are also with striking distance and you can visit London in a day, but there is so much to see there, an overnight stay would be better.. You can walk on the Malvern Hills, go to the theatre locally or in Stratford, visit a Safari Park, visit many old Cotswolds villages... and so on. Our home is very family friendly, with a second sitting room with tv (Sky), computer and piano plus a games room set up in the garage with pool table, table football and darts board. There is also a table tennis table in the garden and a trampoline. You can walk to the local pub for fish and chips ... or just relax in the garden. It is also a very dog friendly house with an enclosed shaded run with kennel if you want to be out for the day.. dogs are welcome downstairs in any uncarpeted areas of the house. They are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs. We have a cleaner who comes once a week, and take great pride in our home, but it remains a comfy, family-friendly environment.

We are very open to offers.. our dogs are used to going to kennels ( we prefer this as one of our dogs is slightly nervous with strangers and we don't take chances with her) however if we can take them along (they are very well behaved) we really enjoy their company.

Quartier

Our village is part of a conservation area, very pretty, with many listed buildings. You can walk to the river and to our local pub where the fish and chips on a Friday night is very good. You can easily travel to Oxford, Bath, Stratford on Avon, but the nearest town is Cheltenham, gateway to the Cotswolds.

À propos de nous

We are Paul and Wendy (both in our late forties) with two children aged 14 (boy) and 11 (girl). Paul is a company manager and Wendy runs her own business from home. Wendy speaks French and understands a little German & Spanish.

Destination

We have an exchange for next Easter, now we are looking for UK coastal for May half term next year. For Summer 2012 we would like an exchange in Italy, France or Spain, with a pool... all invitations responded to!
