Maison

Traditional Dublin Victorian redbrick city town house. 5 floors. Sensitively restored property with original features, like marble fireplace, wooden sash windows, polished wood floors and high ceilings.

House was modernised in 2008, with a new attic bedroom with ensuite added in 2010.
The house has a handbuilt kitchen with AGA type cooker stove and dining area with open plan family room with many books and seating area (no TV downstairs for peace!)
There is a long garden with decking, adult seating and play area- a childrens wooden playhouse, full of mature plants, an oasis in the middle of the city.
4 bedrooms-
The Master bedroom with antiques and king size mahogany bed
Second bedroom with single bed and/or cot if you require
Attic room with two beds.
Downstairs double bedroom ensuite
Upstairs lounge with plasma tv, dvd collection and hifi system.
Hi speed internet connection, use of PC and laptop

Car exchange preferred, we have fiat punto grande, ideal for exploring the city and taking trips out of Dublin to the mountains and sea

Quartier

Located on a long tree lined redbrick avenue, this is the heart of old Dublin. Drumcondra village is nearby with excellent transport, nice cafes and local amenities.
1.5 KM to Dublin city centre, O'Connell Street, so you can walk to the city and back easily
Short walk to a large park with 2 playgrounds, cafes, great pubs, food shop- Tesco and a 24hr convenience store. The botanic gardens are leses than 2km away in Glasnevin and are very beautiful.
On major bus routes, near DART,the light railway which runs the coast of Dublin, an tram, LUAS, yet only 20 minutes from Dublin airport
2km to the coast and beach walks
3KM to Europes largest urban park with wild deer and a zoo
1km to large fitness gym with 50 metre pool that you can use as a guest on our membership if you wish

À propos de nous

We are a couple in our late thirties with one son age 7 and one daughter aged 1. Paddy is a scientist and Caroline is a charity fundraiser.
We have just returned from our third house exchange in France and we love returning to France.
We look forward to hearing from you and are interested in hearing your offer....

we are now looking to exchange in Europe to somewhere hot for July or August 2011 for 10 days or 2 weeks
