Maison

Our home is on the corner of a dead end street at the top of Mt. Davidson so there is minimum traffic. It is a three story home with two decks and a lovely view of the East and South Bay. We have three bedrooms, a study and a music room with a Steinway grand piano and an extensive library in bookcases throughout the house. We have 3 full bathrooms and an up-to-date kitchen and family room. The living room and master bedroom both have fireplaces. We have a two car garage and both of our cars are available for exchange.

Quartier

This is a quiet residential neighborhood with single family dwellings. Public transportation to all parts of the city is very accessible. There is a small neighborhood shopping area within walking distance. The West Portal area is very close for more specialized shopping, including numerous restaurants and a movie theater. Short hikes available at the top of Mount Davidson very near our house.

À propos de nous

My husband is a retired professor of Political Science. I am a pianist who runs a chamber music series. We love to travel, particulary to Italy and love dining out and the theater.
Our daughter and her family live in England and might join us in our exchange in Europe.

Destination

We are most interested in Tuscany, particularly areas around Greve in Chianti, San Casciano Val de Pesa or the hill towns near Siena. Florence is also a possibility.
Dates are somewhat flexible. We will be in Italy with lodging for the first week in June, 2010 so our home is available a week before we would need the exchange to begin.
