Maison

Comfortable modern detached home with easy parking for 1-2 cars and 2 mins to frequent bus route straight in to West End and central Edinburgh through the well known Morningside district.

Our house is also in easy reach of city bypass and motorway links for wider exploring within Scotland including Glasgow, Scottish Borders and Stirling. Edinburgh Airport is just a 10-15 minute drive away by private car/taxi. Roslin Chapel, made famous by the Da Vinci code, is also a short distance away by car.

Comfortable Living Room with Large LCD TV, hi-fi, DVD player and surround sound, full Sky package including Sky+ and HDTV. There is also a separate small lounge used as a study/TV room also with full Sky package so that kids and adults can enjoy separate entertainment.

Large kitchen diner (seats 6-8) with range of appliances: oven, microwave, gas hob, dishwasher and fabulous views of the Hillend ski slope- often with hot air balloons/gliders etc above. Kitchen has FreeView box, Sky viewing, DVD player, LCD TV also.

Master bedroom - king size bed, mirrored wardobes, Sky & LCD TV.
2nd bedroom - Light and bright room,Double bed.
3rd bedroom - Queen Size bed.

Downstairs bathroom and showeroom - shower over bath with shower screen

Both recently fully upgraded, mains pressure hot water.

Quartier

Great choice for city or country - regular public transport links on a direct and quick public bus service in to town, great value with an all day ticket , £2.20 at 2009 prices. For those preferring to drive, both Edinburgh and many other parts of central scotland within very easy reach - day trips out to Stirling, Glasgow, Scottish Borders all easy to do and enjoyable for all ages.

Essential amentities:
Local convenience store with all day and evening opening 5 mins walk with a wide choice of large supermarkets within a 2-5 minute drive (Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury, Waitrose) all with easy parking.

Restaurants:
Large modern restaurant also within 5 mins walk, can be seen on-line at www.tusitala.co.uk/.

A pleasant walk towards the Pentland hills also brings you to the restuarant at www.swanstongolf.co.uk/ and at http://edinburghmenus.com/directory/the_steading_eh107du/.
Free Parking is available at each should you choose to drive instead.

The town centre:
The drive/bus ride to central Edinburgh and the West end takes you to within footsteps of Edinburgh Caste. You will also travel through Morningside and Bruntsfield with their fabulous selection of speciality shops, restaurants, cafes etc- well worth spending a couple of mornings/afternoons to browse.

If driving to the centre, we recommend that you park on the top floor of the open top multi-storey car park at Kings Stables Road (guess where it got its name from?) and enjoy the wonderful view up to Edinburgh Castle. Then take a short cut to the very centre of town, Princes St, through the famous Princes St Gardens which is just a 5 minute walk. This route will take you past various entertainment in the West End Gardens suitable for tots to teens with a chance to watch out for squirrels along the way.

Middle aged husband and wife couple, both professionals.

Keen cooks, so offer and appreciate a good kitchen with range of large and small appliances (our house has available food processor & blender, juicer, health grill, slow cooker, fryer etc).

We are new to home exchanging, so just let us know if there is anything you wish us to make available/confirm for you.

Neighbours are nearby and friendly should you need any help plus we are easily contactable by mobile,e-mail etc.

5 to 14 days between 20th MArch 2010 and Sunday 4th April 2010



Preferred locations: Florida, Spain, France, Italy, Germany with good airport links in either city/country. Preferably Florida for March/April 2010.
