Maison

Good things come in small packages! Our charming Nantucket cottage was built in 1746 and yet it comes with all the modern amenities — recently renovated kitchen, A/C, Bose radio/CD player, two flat screen TV/DVD players, WiFi. Situated in the Cliff Road area, it is walking distance to town and beaches. There's a screened in porch as well as a patio. Kitchen is fully equipped as is the linen closet. Two off-street parking places, too. Best of all, we welcome your well-behaved dog.

Quartier

Located next door to Nantucket's Oldest House, the cottage is nestled back against woods and has a sweeping, privet-enclosed front lawn. Walk to Town (seven minutes) or Steps/Jetties Beaches (ten minutes), bike to Madaket out your back door. Freshly baked bread and the best sandwiches and Frisbee-sized chocolate chip cookies are a short walk through Coffin Park at Something Natural Bakery. Does life get any better than this?

À propos de nous

We are an energetic couple who scuba dive, fly fish, play golf, enjoy fine wining and dining and walking our dog. Nantucket has been home to one of us since the 70s. Between us we have lived (not just visited) in France, England, Italy, South Africa; and New York, California, Kentucky, Connecticut, Pennsylvania as well as Massachusetts. My husband was in international business before retiring; I am a writer and we never retire.

Destination

We are looking for a non-simultaneous exchange - we would like to find warm temps (any place where the temps average 60° or more), golf, good walking/hiking in Feb.-March in exchange for time on Nantucket in June 2010. We have a well behaved chocolate lab we would like to bring with us. She is spayed, flea/tick treated, and we are willing to pay a refundable DDD (Doggy Damage Deposit).
