The adjacent lounge room has a sumptuous custom designed Moroccan daybed perfect for napping or reading. Both living areas open up to the private backyard and offer breathtaking views of the pool/spa and nearby mountains.

Fully equipped for the true gourmet, the kitchen features zebra wood and glass cabinets, open shelves, new stainless steel appliances, a large Caesar stone island with counter stove-top grill, range hood, wine chiller and Lucite counter stools. There is also a formal dining room with seating for eight underneath a skylight. Each bedroom was done with unique design touches that bring together the contemporary, Moroccan and Asian themes. The luxurious spa master bathroom features a large and stunning glass mosaic shower with a rain shower head, three body sprays, a corner bench with a hand held spray, and an oversize soaking tub. The master bathroom itself is truly a heavenly retreat.

The area is famous for its warm and dry desert climate with over 325 days of sunshine and less than 6 inches of rain per year, more than 80 manicured golf courses, spectacular mountain and desert vistas, fine dining and shopping, celebrated SPA resorts, hiking, horseback riding and many more great outdoor attractions.

Palm Springs is also home to the largest concentration of midcentury modern architecture in the world and is famous for its Hollywood-influenced history with a great number of movie stars setting up residence here or visiting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Visitors also flock to Palm Springs for its annual sports and cultural events (PGA Tour Bob Hope Classic, Indian Wells Tennis Masters tournament, Coachella Music and Arts Festival to name a few)

Our home is nestled in a quiet street near Rancho Mirage restaurant row on highway 111, and is conveniently located minutes from the airport, as well as shops and restaurants of downtown Palm Springs and the famous El Paseo Shopping District in Palm Desert.

We’re a family of four from the Los Angeles, California area. We’re in our early forties and our daughters are nearly four and one year old. I work in corporate finance and my wife is an attorney. Travel dates are flexible. We don’t have set dates for our next vacation and are open to an exchange where travel dates don’t coincide. For example you can use our home in September 09 in exchange for yours in March 2010. We’re mostly interested in travel to Europe (Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, France, Austria, Germany are on top of our list, but we’re also open to other destinations: Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Egypt, US.
