We look forward to hearing from you and we are open to offers to exchange our home located in Nova Scotia throughout the year!

We recently purchased this 10 year old home located in a great family neighborhood in Halifax Regional Municipality. We are centrally located 10 minutes from Downtown Halifax in a suburb/town called Dartmouth. We are located 15 mins from the airport and 15 mins gets you to the beach and the many surf breaks.

Our home is spacious, very bright with approx. 2600 sq.ft of living space. The main floor features a home office, dinning room, mud room, eat-in kitchen, Den with surround sound flat screen and a powder room. The second level has three bedrooms (the Master Bedroom has a king sized bed) 2 bathrooms and a laundry room with large washer/dryer. The walk out basement includes another full bathroom, a 4th bedroom, large playroom (with Wii & XBox 360) & surfboard storage room.

The backyard is large with a newly planted vegetable garden, swing set, garden shed. Enjoy your breakfast on the large deck located off the kitchen - features a BBQ and a new wicker patio set. Unwind at the end of the day on the covered front porch which gets the evening sun.

Quartier

This is a family friendly neighborhood of newer homes. We are fortunate to have incredibly friendly and respectful neighbours. We are located a block away from a brand new play park for kids and the best ice cream shop around! We are located next to many lakes you can swim in, a gorgeous, safe park with tree lined marked trails that go on for hours. Our area is a runner's dream with routes that take you around lakes and to the harbour overlooking the ocean and the city of Halifax.

There is a bus stop a block away where you can jump on the bus that takes you directly to the Saturday morning waterfront market, the ferryboat to downtown Halifax and the Alderney Gate Library which overlooks the ocean and the Halifax skyline.

Great quality grocery stores with organic food sections, movie theaters, coffee shops (yes we have a few Starbucks...) are all within a short driving distance.

We are a family of four. My husband has been successfully self-employed for the past 19 years in the action sports industry. I am a Human Resources Consultant. We are the proud parents of two little girls aged 5 and 7.

I am originally from Montreal, Quebec and I speak French and English fluently as do our daughters... my husband's French is getting better day by day... :-)

We have concluded 2 home exchanges in the past with great success. We are respectful, well traveled and adventurous and we would treat your home with great care.

We are very flexible when it comes to travel and home exchanges since we are both avid travelers and, as business owners, we have the ability to adapt our schedule as required.

My husband travels a lot to Vermont and California for work purposes, so exchanges in those two locations would be great. We would love to take the girls to a Disney park in California or Florida sometime soon. We love to ski and we are open to non-simultaneous exchanges. Europe, central and South Americia would also be of great interest. We are open, so feel free to contact us with your suggested time line for a visit to Nova Scotia.

Destination

Our exchange dates can be flexible. Simultaneous exchanges preferred. Non-simultanious exchanges can be arranged, depending on the time of year.
