Lovely stone cottage in rural hamlet. On the edge of the Cotswolds. 12 miles North of Oxford, 20 minutes by car or take a train from nearby station. Private parking. Large private garden.

Kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, micro wave, and dining table seating up to 6. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Cloakroom. Hall way. Playroom with toys, tv and dvd player. Large cosy sitting room with widescreen plasma tv, sky+, dvd, wii and stereo. Inglenook fire place with log burner. Upstairs main bedroom with Comfy super-king size bed, tv and a lovely view over garden and countryside. Onsuite shower/toilet. 2nd bedroom with single bed and toddler size bed. 3rd bedroom with single bed and an extra mattress if needed. Travel cot available. All bedding 100% cotton. Family bathroom. The house has oil fired central heating.

Outside- toys, swing, small slide and large trampoline with saftey enclosure. 2 adult bikes and 2 smaller children's bikes.

Quartier

We live in a rural hamlet only 12 miles from Oxford, with its shops, restaurants, theatres and newly refurbished Ashmolean museum. Our home is surrounded by lovely country walks. The next village has a newly built children's park suitable for toddlers upwards. We are on the edge of the Cotswolds. With many gorgeous places to visit. Chipping Norton only 15 minutes drive. Woodstock with the famous Blenheim palace 7 miles drive. You can visit London for the day by taking a train from nearby station 20 minutes drive, then an hour by train. Uffington white Horse and Waylands Smithy situated on the famous ridgeway just under an hour away. One of our favourite places for a day out is Waddesdon Manor which is a National trust property about half an hours drive from here with a superb children's play area and stunning grounds. The famous Bicester shopping village is 15 minutes drive away.

Mark is head of Classics at a school in Oxford. Helen works at a local pre-school. Freddie age 9 (loves tennis and reading) and Teddy age 4 (loves anything to do with trains) they are well behaved and respectful of others things. Although we have boys, we also have lovely girly bedding for any little princesses that may visit, plenty of girls toys too.

In May 2009 we had our first exchange to France. We really enjoyed the experience and had a fantastic week. We can highly recommend our exchange family and their home ref.13011

Our reference from them: Reference: We warmly recommend the house of Helen and Mark. Their house is extremly beautiful, full of character and very clean. Ideally situated to discover a splendid region, the Cotswolds. And cities of Oxford, Bath and London......Our children enjoyed their holiday too, as the garden is huge and the house full of toys. In one word: Perfect!

Destination

We have an exchange arranged for summer 2011. But would like a few days swap at May half term or Easter time.
We are restricted to school holidays due to Mark's job.
