Maison

We have 2 homes which can be exchanged, both in the Bordeaux suburbs in a quiet area. This August we would like a non-simultaneous exchange.
Our main home is a 4 bedroom (all with either double or twin beds) 50 year old 2 storey house with a nice balcony, a shaded garden one side, terrace and private shared pool on the other. We have 3 bathrooms. We do not have air conditioning. The house is opposite a big park with small animals, a childrens play area and an acquarium.
The other home is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom holiday home with a smaller, more secluded garden and shared pool. It has air conditioning. The small cottage is available for non-simultaneous lets.

Quartier

We live in the suburbs of Bordeaux, France, a city which recently was awarded a Unesco World Heritage status. The Bordeaux area is known for wine and sandy beaches. We are 45 minutes to the West Atlantic coast of France and about 2 hours from Spain, 4 hours from Paris.
Our home is 20 minutes from the city centre in a small town with lots of parks. We are close to the University area with many shops within walking distance.
Bordeaux is quite a vibrant place and is very popular with tourists throughout the year.
We live to the South of Bordeaux, 20 minutes by car to the City centre and 10 minutesd from the airport. Public transport is good (buses, trams). We live in the Pessac Leognan / Graves wine region.

À propos de nous

We are early 50s and still working - factory finance director and interpreter. We speak English, French, Spanish, Italian and a little German.
Our children live away from home and are now working.
We have a dog and a cat in the house who would stay with friends.
Our main house is also used for Bed and Breakfast guests when we are home.
We like visiting new places generally for short periods. We travel quite a lot but work restricts when we can take holidays.
