Maison

Etoile du Sud is our second home and situated in the south of france. Although we rent it when we can we haven't skimped on furnishings or anything else and so it does have a lovely home from home feel with pretty much everything you would need, whether staying during the summer or winter. It has gorgeous views over the surrounding hills and also the village of Callas. At night the village twinkles away which is so pretty. Quartier

The house is set in a little village called Callas in the Var area of South East France. Our gardens are a tranquil setting of nearly one hectare (over 2 acres) of olive and fruit trees with stunning views of our village of Callas and the Maures hills. If you want to go exploring there are lots of pretty little provence villages within close proximity and the Cote d'Azur (St Maxime, St Raphael etc.) are a 40 minute drive. We don't play golf but there are some very good courses not far away. The closest is 15 mins drive. Nearest airports are Nice (1hr) Toulon (1 hr) and Marseille (1hr 45) You need a car. Callas is small but has a vibrant market every Saturday. Le Muy (15mins) has a very provencal market every Thursday and Sunday. The house is very relaxing if you don't want to move anywhere or otherwise there are some lovely places to drive to including the Gorge du Verdon. We don't play golf but there are a number of very good and beautiful courses within an hours drive - closest is St Endreol 15 mins away.

We are Debbie and David in our 50s and both working in Television production. We love to travel, and like most people we unfortunately can't go as often as we would like because of work.
