This beautiful, modern beach house is only seconds away from the most popular beaches in Caloundra, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

Recently renovated, it features 4 bedrooms (1 King with WIR & ensuite, 1 Queen, 1 Double and 1 room with 2 singles), 3 bathrooms, open plan indoor and outdoor entertaining areas with ocean views and a sunny kitchen with breakfast nook.

The house sits on a huge 1400 sq m block with stunning north/south orientation and lots of room for kids or pets to play. It includes a fully fenced front courtyard with gated driveway and carport for 2 cars.

Quartier

Caloundra is the perfect place to experience the best of Australia's east coast.With north and south facing beaches and a protected passageway, there is always somewhere to enjoy the ocean no matter what the wind is doing. There are plenty of beachside cafes to choose from and a charming Main Street for window shopping. Australia Zoo, Underwater World and the Glasshouse Mountains are all within a half hour drive.

For families, the popular, patrolled Kings Beach with saltwater pool, children's waterplay and playground areas and beachside cafes is a 5 minute walk from our house. Or take a leisurely stroll on the Caloundra Coastal Walkway to the rockpools of Shelly Beach, both are just around the corner. For the mad surfers, there is a choice of Kings Beach or Happy Valley on the southern side or Moffat, Currimundi and Dicky Beaches on the north. Return home afterwards to store your board on the custom board rack and rinse off in the private, heated outdoor shower.

I am a Landscape Architect and my husband is a Lawyer. We have recently settled permanently on the coast after living in Brisbane for many years. I am Canadian, from Winnipeg, so we travel to see my family and friends there at least once per year and try to visit another part of Canada on each trip. We love to travel and generally stop somewhere else in the world enroute from Australia to Canada. We enjoy holidays that include physical activities and the outdoors as well as great food and wine. We like to think we are are design buffs and have now renovated two homes successfully. We love our life at the beach and look forward to sharing our home and lifestyle, so we may experience other parts of the world.

Destination

We would like to be in Vancouver for the Olympics in 2010.
We are open to other exchanges in the future.
