Maison

We offer our second home ,a cottage in a rural setting with truly amasing views only 50 min. from Reykjavik . (Selfoss 20 km., Reykjavik 50km)
It stands among only 6 other summerhouses but is completely private from the others and is surrounded by a beautiful creek .

There are two seperate rooms upstairs (2x 11sqm)and one downstairs ( 140cm. bed comfortable matresses).
The house has got all modern appliances (flat screen tv and dvd movies, cd player and music collection ,dishwasher, coffie machine , sandwich grill ,etc.)
Outside we have a good space for playing games ,and a cool country swing for children of all ages .Kids absolutely love to stay here and adults are most impressed by the nature and tranquility and peace .

Quartier

Your only view from the house are mountains and the creek .
Depending on the period you stay in the cottage you will wake up only to the low sound of the creek and various birds. It is very peaceful.Several times over the summer months we are awakened by a family of sheeps -sometimes they are on our land in the morning.
We have rented the house to tourists in recent years ,and they leave very positive reviews in the guestbook .

You can do a lot of walking up along the river /creek or even walk on Burfell mountain. (1.5 km from the cottage).
Tourist sites like Gullfoss ,Geysir and Thingvellir (called the golden triangle ,and most visited sites by tousists) are a short drive from the summerhouse. There is a shop and a new swimming pool at 9 km. distance , and from july you can buy top quality organically grown vegtables 2 km.from the cottage.

We are a couple,51/46 with 3 girls aged 19,14 and 12.

We own a chicken restaurant in Reykjavik.
We speak english .

I am looking for an exchange in the center of Paris from the 16-25 september '11 !
I will be with my daughter (15 years old) .
We offer our cottage in exhange at any time ,this year or next - your choise : )

Besides that we are also open to any other suggestions in 2012 .
