Maison

If you're looking for a fantastic condo in the heart of Toronto, my place is the place for you. My condo is a 800-square foot one-bedroom place in the very middle of Toronto (right at St. George and Bloor st Subway station). It's in a historic low-rise condominium building that used to be the old Italian Consulate. It's minutes' walk from such sites as the Royal Ontario Museum, Gardiner museum, Yorkville shops, University of Toronto campus and many of the cinemas used for the Toronto International Film Festival. My place is clean, bright, has TV with cable, air conditioning, computer, 2 stereos, dishwasher and high speed internet available. I also have a large adjacent balcony. Laundry is available downstairs in the building.

A queen-sized bed is in the bedroom, but the sofa in the living room turns into a futon bed, and can sleep one more.

Quartier

My neighbourhood is an older neighbourhood called the Annex, where large trees and large historic homes are situated on quiet streets. The neighbourhood is adjacent to the University of Toronto campus and is close to Bloor Street, a lively section of town which has lots of shops, restaurants, movie cinemas, pubs, music halls, and nightlife. My condo is 3 minutes' walk from subway transportation going in all directions (North, South, East and West), and about 8 minutes' walk from the high-end shops and restaurants of Yorkville. It's the perfect area for star-spotting, as Brad Pitt and Mick Jagger are sometimes seen getting lattes from the local specialty delicatessan (Pusateri's) during the Toronto International Film Festival.

My place is extremely well-situated for anyone who wants to come during the Film Festival in September and have easy access to all the best movie theatres: for example, the Varsity, Bloor, Cumberland, Ryerson, and Isabelle Bader Theatre. Others are a short subway ride or bike ride away.

À propos de nous

I am a young professional who still has the travel bug in me and would love to visit more cities around the world. I love travelling to places and trying to experience them as locals would, and living in the city while taking care of someone else's place is a fantastic way to do this.

Destination

I am open to destinations, but would love to go to Barcelona or Paris. If someone wants to take advantage of the Toronto Film Festival, the dates are September 10 - 19 2009.
