Maison

Our one level, comfortable home is located in one of the most wealthy suburbs of Sydney. We have a large front and back yard, a huge pool, trampoline, a separate living room for parents and a massive family room (both have sound systems & cable TV), an XBOX 360, Nintendo wii (with a huge selection of games), gas fire place, airconditioning, very comfortable 8 seater outdoor dining set with a new gas BBQ, separate dining room, 2 bathrooms - one with a large bath and an internal laundry with washing machine and dryer.

The kitchen is modern and comprises of a gas stove/oven; dishwasher, expresso machine & microwave. In the 4th room we have a home office with high-speed broadband. This room can also accomodate an extra person.

The best thing about our home is that each person can find their own peace and quiet within in it. Every room in the house looks onto greenery.

It is a very comfortable home, all seasons of the year.

We are also willing to "swap" cars. We have an automatic V6 Honda Accord with GPS.

Inside our garage are bikes for children, camping gear, pool toys, sporting equipment and extra outdoor seating.

We love our home and hope that you will too.

Quartier

Killara is a truly beautiful suburb; affluent and safe. Many of the original houses were built in the 1920's and have beautiful art deco architecture and grounds. (Google Earth Killara, NSW, Australia). The National Forest surrounds us and include spectacular bush walks. We wake to the sounds of birds and enjoy walking to the many parks in the area. There are many tennis courts available for public use.

There are two small shopping villages, within walking distance. One has a baker, fruit & veg, spectacular butcher & bottle shop & a chemist. The other has a cafe, theatre (often with a childrens' show), and a post office.

At the top of our street is a bus stop that will take you to the train (10 minutes ride). The train will take you directly into the heart of Sydney (30 minutes ride). Alternatively, you can drive in 20 minutes.

Homebush Stadium hosts all of the big sporting events and international concerts. It is a 20 minute drive away.

Similarly, Sydney's famous Northern Beaches are only a 15 minute drive away.

Our neighbours are exceptionally friendly, helpful and relaxed. They will be more than happy to give directions etc.

Chatswood (10 minute drive) is one of Sydney's premier shopping districts. It has everthing including some of the best Chinese restaurants in Sydney.

Hi! We are a young, adventurous couple with twin 6 year olds. We are excited by the idea of showing our children around Europe for the first time.

I am a History Teacher and my husband is an IT executive. We are in our mid thirties.

Our twins are a boy and girl - they have lots of toys and are happy to share them. They are very well behaved and delightful (even if I do say so myself).

We would be very happy to swap with anyone close to major cities within France, Italy or Spain. We don't mind a small (2 bedroom) apartment.

Our flexibility around travel is the school holidays -
April 1st - 18th 2010
June 25th - 18th July 2010

We love GOOD company, wine, food, foreign films, theatre, camping and exploring new places.
