Maison

Blenheim Cottage is an equisite cedar shingled all pine interior waterfront cottage in beautiful Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island. We built the cottage in 1999, and it is our treasure. The breathtaking view from the front deck and screened in porch is of Brackley Bay and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The cottage has three bedrooms; Two of the bedrooms have queen sized beds. The master has an en suite bathroom with a small shower. The third bedroom has two bunk beds. The second bath has a shower and tub. There is a pull out sleeper sofa in the livingroom where there is an authentic island stone fireplace. Two comfortable cots are also available for use. The cottage is a two minute drive or ten minute walk to the National Park with it's expansive uncrowded beaches. What they say about Prince Edward Island is true. "Every mile a beach. Every beach a mile."
Some of the best restaurants in Canada are within 10 minutes of the cottage. The seafood is spectacular- oysters, mussels, lobster...For the adventurous watersports abound. You can rent a canoe, kayak, or paddleboat minutes from the cottage. For the more adventurous hanggliding, parasailing and windsurfing are nearby. For cyclists PEI is a dream with the newly completed Confederation Trail spanning the entire Island.
For theatre goers there is the Charlottetown Theatre Festival and other venues across the Island. For classical music lovers, the Indian River Festival runs through the entire summer.

Prince Edward Island is an unspoiled jewel. The Confederation Bridge brings you across the Northumberland Strait into a land of magic. No one is in a hurry on the Island. No one is unfriendly. It is a place where fiddle music and step dancing are found on every street corner and jagged red cliffs make your heart stop. We fell in love with the Island many years ago and just kept staying longer and longer. Blenheim Cottage was built out of that love of PEI

À propos de nous

We are a speech pathologist and a high school special education teacher. We have worked in the public schools more than twenty years;our primary home is in Boston. (also available for exchange). We love the theatre, classical music, and all things literary. We have two adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Annabelle and Fletcher with whom we love to travel, so we are seeking pet friendly exchanges. They visit nursing homes each week as pet therapy dogs, and also work with special needs children. Our dogs are seasoned travelers and very well behaved. When we go out they are always crated. We are respectful careful people and will take excellent care of your home. We welcome your pets at either of our homes.

We are always looking for exchanges in New York City, and in the Berkshires of Massachusetts for either long weekends or week long vacations.

Destination

We are interested in traveling to New York City on Non-simultaneous exchanges. We would like very much to exchange our cottage which is availabe in June and September, for a week in either of those months. In return we would like to come with our doggies to NYC for two long weekends between Sept. - June 2009-2010 We are also open to offers to any destination, so please ask.

We are also interested in pet friendly exchanges in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. We love Stockbridge, Lenox and Williamstown, but are open to neighboring towns.
