Maison

We have a modern comfortable bungalow, in a peaceful position with views over the valley in front and backing onto fields behind. It is situated on the edge of a creekside village and the village pub (fun, welcoming landlord) is five minutes walk and there is a good foodstore, Post Office, butcher, newsagent and hairdresser as well. There is a village hall which has a variety of activities going on.

Our neighbours are great, not in your face but friendly.

Falmouth is the nearest small town, within 15 minute drive, and the closest bigger town, Truro, is 20 minutes at the most. Falmouth has the famous Pendennis castle, and there are many historic places of interest to visit in the immediate area. Take a ferry ride to St Mawes Castle, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan, see fantastic gardens at Trelissick, there's the famous Eden project, Falmouth Maritme Museum, The Tate of the West at St Ives....the list is huge.

All sorts of interests are close by, golf, horse riding, sailing, diving etc.

Quartier

There are plenty of lovely walks along our quiet, pretty country lanes, or you can walk the coastal paths. There is a bus service which goes from the village and passes the end of our road. Even if you relax on the sunny front terrace with a drink or in the back garden, the air is clean and refreshing.

We are retired professionals who love to travel even if it's just a train trip to London to see a West End Show. We go to France a fair amount visiting relatives. We are planning a trip to Australia and New Zealand with a few other places thrown in, but mainly focusing on catching up with friends. One of us belongs to Rotary International, and the other is a Lions International member, and we enjoy meeting up with members in other countries. We like to keep fit, and hearing about gym facilities in the localities we are going to would be good. We absolutely promise to take care of your home in the same way as you would take care of ours....probably better!!!

We have a round the world ticket, and the itinerary so far is as follows:

11.10.09 Bankok to Bali
31.10.09 Bali to Brisbane
14.11.09 Brisbane to Melbourne
Spending 10 weeks in Geelong, Sydney, Tasmania etc.
28.1.09 Melbourne to Auckland
About 4 weeks in New Zealand
24.2.10 Auckland to Fiji
About 10 days in Fiji
4.1.09 Fiji to Los Angeles
7.3.09 Los Angeles to New York
10.3.09 New York to London

The dates within Australia and New Zealand are flexible and we do have friends to staywith for some of the time.
