Lovely 900 sqft loft. 3 walls of bricks and one wall of stones. No separate bedroom; bedroom is located on a mezzanine. 12' high ceilings. Exposed wood beams. 8 big windows. 125 years old wooden floor. Fully renovated bathroom in 2010 (no bathtub, only a shower) and kitchen. 26 inches plasma TV and DVD player. High speed internet connection (but no wifi), no A/C and no cable/satellite TV.

This loft is suitable for a couple due to the lack of privacy. The shower is not behind closed doors, and you get an excellent view of who's in the shower from the bed!

We keep our home in an impeccable condition (and shall keep yours the same), so all is very clean and tidy.

This apt is not suitable for children, no pets are allowed and it is strictly non smoking.

If you need to plan your trip, we would be glad to help you, we know every nook and cranny of the city since we are both born and raised here.

Quartier

The best location in Montreal, I say so myself :) Wake up to the sound of horse carriages...

Just a few blocks away from the water (Old Port), the business district, downtown, Chinatown (for those late night meals..), the nightlife and all the big hotel names (W, Hilton, Westin, St-James...).

Quite unique property : rare are those "in the heart of the action" homes that are sooo quiet. Located on a tiny, parking free, cobblestone street. A very European feel! Down the street, find amazing fine dining, amazing coffee shops, art galleries, biking paths, spas and many major touristy attractions. In the summer, fireworks at 10PM, a 5 minute walk from home.

Very very hard to park in the Old Montreal. Not recommanded to have a car. Public transportation is a 5 min walk (square victoria metro station) and gets you pretty much everywhere.

Young, respectful and serious couple, myself (mid 20s) and Philippe (mid 30s), law students, artists, big travelers (Western Europe, Czech, Hungary, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, USA, China, Cuba, Costa Rica, Mexico, Guadeloupe, South East Asia, etc.).

Non-smokers, non-drinkers, no accompanying pets, no kids. We usually travel with only a small backpack.

I also work in parallel with my studies in fashion retail. I maintain a website and therefore would require a good Internet Connection (no need for wifi). Philippe has a degree in Arts study, works on different artistic projects while studying in law school.

We speak French, English, Spanish and Vietnamese and have done a few (successful!) home exchanges.

Destination

We can do a simultaneously exchange, if not, we will make necessary arrangement for non-simultaneous exchange. We are open and flexible and willing to make it work!
