Maison

THE HOUSE: built in 19een century, it's part of an old wine property restaureted in 2001 and counting the main house (about 230 sqm), a large barn (car parking) and a garden (1200 sqm). The house is isolated from the street and very quiet. Nature is realy close ! The house is spacious, sunny (but not too hot in summer period because of the 1 meter large wall!), functional and very well furnished (one grand father was a painter, so we have many painting, ancient furnitures as well as moderns of good quality, all made a very attractive environment).
On the ground floor : one large and modern kitchen (35 msq), one large living room with fire place (50 msq), the entrance, a small laundry (washing machine, dryer), an office (could be use as room), a large bathroom (with bath), a toilet. In front of the kitchen there is a patio shadowed by vines and with BBQ
Open to the kitchen there is a mezanine (could be used as office or place for kids) and behind a little room (10msq).
By others and very large stairs you can access at a second floor and its 3 large rooms (20msq and 2x 18msq), a small bathroom with shower and a toilet.
Cars and bikes are parked in the barn. Exchange of car possible (monospace, 5 seats) .

Quartier

NEIGHBOURHOOD : the little village named la Boissière is located between woods and vineyards but close to Montpellier. Town center of Montpellier and universities/research centres can be reached by car (around 25 mn).
This region is very attractive for tourism, between Mediterranean sea and Cevennes mountains (30 to 45 mn by car), you can also visit best known places of the South (Nîmes, Avignon, Arles) or going to Spain in a day. And very close to the house (15mn by car) you can find numerous places of great interest for visiting as well as sports (medieval villages as St Guilhem-le-Désert, caves, river Hérault with canyon and beach, places for canoeing, horse riding, biking, ...).

À propos de nous

We are a family of 4 ; Sophie, biologist (PhD in nature conservation) and 3 kids (2 boys Simon and Hugo aged 14 and 12 and 1 girl, Valentine aged 9). Our husband and Dad death in an accident some years ago. Therefore, Mum let is job last year and we went in Costa-Rica 8 months. It was a wondefull experience. We would like to experience North america for one year (august 2009 to august 2010).
