Maison

White-washed villages cling precariously to hillsides, and the Andalucian people take pride in their ancient customs. This land was once inhabited by the Moors and is rich in tradition. In this rural setting lies Cortijo La Era, just above Lanjarón, the gateway to the National Park. Our farmhouse is set among terraces of olive groves with views across the hills to the sea, The garden include patios, terraces and swimming pool with barbecue area.
I work as a reflexologist in The Balneario de Lanjarón, a health spa famous for its' mineral waters and springs. Eduardo, my husband runs a Language school. We have two children Lucas 18 and Ayelén 15. We also have a beautiful Siamese cat and friendly dog called Lucky.

Quartier

We live in a fantastic location being only a 45 min drive away from the historical city of Granada with the famous Alhambra Palace and also the Sierra Nevada ski resort.
The pretty seaside villages and beaches are also a 40 min drive away. The Alpujarran skies are claimed to be the clearest in Europe and, while sitting in the lingering heat of the day to watch the stars, there is a feeling of being in another world.

We adore the area in which we live. I am English my husband Argentine, we love travelling. I am currently studying Ayurveda and would be keen to visit India and Thailand. Our children are soon to be adults so we are enthusiastic to visit new places, possibly on our own and this seems like a wonderful way to experience and share beautiful places.
