Maison

Our house of 90 (m2) is fully furnished, clean and has a garden. It is on the ground floor of a 4 store typical old Amsterdam building. There are two bedrooms. One for a baby, which can also be altered for one person. The modern open kitchen equiped with dishwasher, microwave oven and refrigerator. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. In the outside area we’ve created a lounging space were the sun shines in the afternoon. We have a small insulated garden house. That is our office. It is possible to place an extra bed inside. We have high speed wireless internet, cable television and DVD-player. And of course a washing machine and dryer.

Quartier

Our house is located in a safe and popular area (Oud-Zuid) of Amsterdam very close to the city center. It is a rich neighbourhood where a lot of expats live but also families. It is situated in a quiet street yet everything on walking distance. The famous Vondelpark is around the corner as well as local shops, bars, restaurants and public transport. It is a 5 minutes cycle ride to Leidseplein and Museumplein.

We would recommend you to use our two bikes during your stay. That’s the Dutch way of transportation, especially for people living in Amsterdam. It is nice to ride along the canals and see the city by bike, but you can also take the tram. Out of the city there are some lovely characteristic Dutch villages. Also the beaches are close by. The bus or train will take you in half an hour to Zandvoort. For other beach villages you better go by our car.

We are Rens (37) and Maroesja (34). Rens works at a casting agency as a manager. I am a journalist, working for a news programm and different woman magazines. Marelieve is our daughter. She is 1 year old.

Destination

Looking for an holiday exchange to Sardegna (Alghero); Spain (malaga), or Portugal the last two weeks of september. Ryain air has very good deals between Amsterdam and these destination....
