The house has 3 bedrooms with en-suit bathrooms, an infra-red sauna, private outdoor swimming pool with covered patio (lapa) and dining set with 8 chairs, weber gas BBQ and charcoal grill.

The house has an open floor plan, with modern high-gloss kitchen, modern and high end finishings all over the house, completely custom build. We have a full bar and relax area, a tv-room with 42-inch plasma tv, a sitting area with fireplace, great for reading or just relaxing with a bit of wine and cheese and a big dining room with 8 chairs.

Furniture throughout the house is filled with Asian antiques and modern touches, gathered from our travels and living overseas.

Master bedroom has a queen size bed, walk-in closet bathroom with his and her's sink and huge custom build bath and shower that feels you are in the outdoors, since the ceiling is from glass. The only thing you see is the clear blue sky of South Africa and some palm trees. Off the master bedroom we have a huge private sun deck.

Second bedroom has also a queen size bed with en-suite bathroom with toilet and shower. Balcony to the garden with view onto swimming pool.

Third bedroom (children's room) with 2 single beds and en-suite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and bidet.

Then there is a play room with TV and VCR, the hall upstairs has an writing desk and computer with internet access. An infra-red sauna and extra toilet is also on the upper floor.

Very spacious newly build home with lots of beautiful details and the best of all, a full-time housekeeper that changes the bedlines and cleans after you. But you don't notice her, very private person who will not invade your privacy! Has her own little room at the back of the main house. Speaks well English and can help you with basic information about area.

Our house is situated on a secured estate just north of Johannesburg. The area is called Fourways and is one of the most sophisticated and modern areas of South Africa. Just 5-10 minutes drive to the best rated restaurants and shopping malls of Joburg.

However situated just less than 2-3 hours drive and you are in the bush. The wild game reserves where you can see the big 5 up close. Like the malaria free Madikwe, Pilanesberg, Magaliesberg, Drakensberg. There are so many game reserves to visit in less than half a day drive, and you believe you are in a total different world. Where native African people still live without electricity and running water. Go back in time and visit these villages with different tribes like Ndebele, Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho and Pedi just to name a few. These tribes have still their own language, traditions and festivals.

Our house is situated in the center where everything is happening, a 15 minute drive to the big city of Johannesburg, where you can visit one of the biggest townships Soweto. A culturale village like Lesedi is only 20 minute drive away. Zoo's, parks, waterparks, theatre, casino, movie theatre, bars, clubs, botanical gardens, bird park, and so much more to see and visit while you take a break from the biggest draw to South Africa which is the safari trips.

Our home is only a 5-6 hour drive to Kruger national park. Kruger is the largest game reserve in South Africa. It covers 18,989 square km (7,332 sq mi) and extends 350 km (217 mi) from north to south and 60 km (37 mi) from east to west.

All the Big Five game animals are found at Kruger National Park, which has more species of mammals than any other African Game Reserve (at 147 species). Just to name a few: Buffalos, Rhinos, Zebras, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Hippos, Lions, Leopards, Elephants and of course many other species, birds and flora that is unique to South Africa.

We are an executive expat family that travels and works around the world. We are beginning 40's and have twin girls age 9. Originally from the Netherlands, but lived in several countries like Spain, Greece, Thailand, the USA and now in South Africa.

Work of husband gives us the opportunity to travel and live in all these countries while the mother stays at home with the girls, doing some photography and volenteer work on the side.

We take pride in our home, have no pets or don't smoke. We love to travel, experience new cultures, love photography, cooking, playing a round of golf, relaxing with a good book and enjoy the superb quality wines here from all over South Africa.
