Quartier

Once you get here from Salt Lake City (usually under an hour's drive) you really don't need a car. The shuttle will take you into town and almost any where else you want to go. Tour operators will pick you up and drop you off for everything else! Fabulous slope views.
Fireplace. Daily housekeeping. Close to THE CANYONS (I don't know if the LODGES will take you to THE CANYONS, a competing resort) tho they will take you to the Park City slopes (Night time sking). Deer Valley controls lift ticket sales so the Mountain never gets over crowded. The service is fabulous. Free overnight storage for skis AND boots (day time basket rentals are inexpensive). This is a ski only resort, at least right now, but Park City and THE CANYONS do permit snow boards on the slopes. A lift wait of 10 minutes is considered long and has only happened on President's weekend and Christmas. Deer Valley Resort has lovely 'green' or easy runs and of course some of the most challenging 'double blacks' in the country. Remember, Park City and Deer Valley were the site of the last US WInter Olympics.

My husband and I are semi-retired. The kids are getting married and we don't feel so tied to travel to our family places as we used to. We have only home swapped one time - to Cancun off of Craig's list. But it went well enough that we are interested in exploring
other options. We also have a 2 BR on the shores of Lake Michigan, 40 minutes North of
Milwaukee,WI and a 3BR home on Washington Island, WI that we would consider swapping. All of these properties are completely furnished but none of these are our private residences/homes - which increases our comfort level with the home swap idea. Also it permits greater leeway in scheduling our 'swaps'. For instance, we went to Cancun in 2009 but our hosts used our summer beach house in June of 08.

Destination

This can be a non simultaneous exchange. We have tickets into LIB on 12/27 returning to Chicago on 1/3/10. We want a place within one hour of LIB. We do have a place booked for cash that we could cancel if the right thing turned up we could cancel. The kicker on this trip is that we are 12 adults (all related). 3 married couples, 3 single guys and 3 single gals. We would like and HAVE ocean front with a pool so we would only exchange for same.
We are all seasoned travelers and very respectful ... our motto is to leave a place better than we found it.
