Maison

We have a three bedroom ranch-style home that will comfortably sleep six people. Queen beds are in each of the three bedrooms. Situated on a quiet street, our living room windows look across the fourth fairway of the country club golf course across the street. Additionally there are two large screen TV's and a fireplace in the family room if the evenings get cool. Our home is comfortably furnished for a small family or one or two couples.
The back yard is highlighted by an in ground pool and separate hot tub. The setting is quiet and private with lush tropical foliage that is a haven for birds. Plenty of deck furniture makes it comfortable to work on your tan. A large screened lanai looks out over the pool and offers a quiet place for coffee or meals. A gas BBQ grill is available.















































































Quartier

The Gulf of Mexico and Anna Maria Island, with beautiful white, sandy beaches make up the main local attraction. Only seven miles and less than a fifteen minute drive away, Anna Maria offers quiet, uncrowded beaches with miles of walking along the shoreline. Longboat Key, another tropical island paradise is ten miles away. Obviously, fresh local seafood highlights the many restaurants on the islands.
To work off the calories from that great food, there's a basketball goal in the driveway and public tennis and racketball courts are within walking distance (we have rackets available, too). We also have two adult bicycles available. Quiet residential streets make for easy, safe biking and good variety for strolling.

We are a family of four. I am a school administrator and my wife works in the health profession. We have two boys, both in college. Participants in the home exchange will inclue my wife and I, and one or two boys.
We have traveled quite a bit in the US and Canada, preferring quiet, unspoiled places. We are fond of hiking and bike riding and appreciate watching and identifying birds and other outdoor life. Typically we would prefer a quiet day of reading and relaxing rather than one with lots of action and excitement. In the past, when our family was younger, we did quite a bit of camping.
We are non-smokers and require the same in return.

Destination

This is our first attempt at an exchange. We are pretty specific on our dates because of work and school schedules. For summer our dates are late June to mid-July; we alos have two weeks around the Christmas holidays. We are looking to exchange our place on the warm Gulf Coast with one close to outdoor activities.
