Maison

Our home is a modern and spacious 3.5 bedroom flat of 110 m2 in the heart of Swiss riviera, in the center of Vevey old town.
We have 3 big rooms: 1 big bedroom with private bathroom (bathtub and shower), 1 spacious living-room (flat screen TV, very comfortable couch), a very modern open kitchen with table for 4, and a second bedroom (we use it as a study room but we have another spare bed we can install) with its own bathroom (shower).
Our flat is on the second floor, no elevator. Nice building, only 4 appartments.

Quartier

First of all, just look at the stunning view we have.. Isn't that great? ; )
The lake is 20 meters from our doorstep. Swimming in the lake in the summer is something you really have to do : the water is very clean and nice, and the view is spectacular.

Vevey is a cute touristic town. You can relax on the lakeside, go shopping (luxury and normal shops), and visit famous museums (Jenish Museum, Alimentarium, Museum of Photography and of course Charlie Chaplin's house near Vevey) or go hiking. Montreux and it's world-wide famous Jazz Festival and luxury hotels is just next door (15 min. by bus or 5 min. by train), as well as the area we call "Valais" - fresh air of the Alps and Swiss alpine villages (30 min. by train).
It's the perfect place to stay if you would like to visit our beautiful country. And if you are interested in visiting France too, no problem: Paris is only 4 hours away, and Lyon is 3 hours away. You just need to catch the high speed train in Lausanne. Enjoy it!

À propos de nous

My boyfriend Ludovic is a high-school teacher and I teach at a secondary school in Montreux.We are 26 and 31 years old. We are open-minded people, we like travelling, meeting new people and art in general. We are planning to do a "life swap" for one year in 2010 in the USA (I will do this swap with a American teacher ) but as we have never been to the USA, we would like to spend a few weeks in NY and California this year.

Destination

we really hope to swap our home with American people (NY, Cafifornia) during summer school holiday (July and August 2009)
